Yelena stared at Emrys curiously. Without waiting for his response, she went on, “Oh, I get it now! You’re quite the sly one, aren’t you, Rys? On the surface, you told Delia that you’re going to Jipsdale to handle important matters. In reality, however, you secretly slipped away to Jetroina to experience the local customs and way of life. No. way, I’m going to report you to Delia!” 

Yelena moved to take out her phone, ready to make an international call, but Emrys quickly stopped her. With a wry smile, he said, “I’m here in Jetroina to take care of important business.” 

Cordelia had already misunderstood him. The last time they spoke on the phone, she was acting all weird. If Yelena were to stir the pot again, he had no doubt that Cordelia would tear him to pieces upon 

his return. 

Using some effort, Emrys explained the situation between Endre and the Xanthos family to Yelena.

Yelena jutted her chin defiantly, showing no signs of fear. “That’s right, I was the one who kicked them. They had it coming. They should consider themselves lucky that I didn’t turn them into eunuchs.”
