Cherished By Seven Sisters by Melvin Houle Chapter 865

Chapter 865 The Promise.

Apart from those two lucky individuals, Killian was definitely a rare prodigy among the Three Sword Sects for becoming a swordmaster at his young age.

During the heyday of the Heavenly Sword King’s reign, the swordsmanship prodigies who followed the king to Mount Jacaster would become swordmasters at eighteen or nineteen years old.

To have achieved that at the age of twenty–three, Killian was exceptionally outstanding.

Caden was also willing to offer him some benefits.

Clutching the authority token, Killian was deeply touched.

At this moment, Devon also made his move. He too presented an emerald pendant. It was not a status token; rather, it was a protective emerald pendant.

Devon explained, “What you’re worried about now is that Ruben might wish to kill you. The jade pendant I’ve given you contains a high–level formation that can withstand an attack from someone in the late phase of the Golden Elixir Stage. Ruben is only in the middle phase, so it should be more than enough to handle him. We will also keep a watchful eye.

If Ruben dares to make a move, we will certainly step in to protect you. He won’t be able to do anything to you.”

After a slight pause, Devon continued, “Moreover, with your talent, it wouldn’t take more than a decade for you to be on par with Ruben. By then, he can’t possibly do anything to you even if you barge your way into Soul Sword Sect.”

Devon was very persuasive.

Gripping the protective emerald pendant, Killian could feel the energy emanating from within it. He knew that Devon wasn’t trying to deceive him.

After a moment of silence, Killian smirked and said, “Since both of you hold me in such high regard, I will certainly do a good job. Over the next few days, I will find an opportunity to provoke Peter and incite him to attack me.”

A look of madness, tinged with a hint of bloodlust, surged in Killian’s eyes.

He had always been a bit of a wild card. Feeling that life within the sect was not thrilling enough and lacked any feelings of danger, he had ventured out to train.

That was why he had journeyed to the perilous lands of Mount Kushinurn, a place notorious for its beasts. It was there, in the crucible of life and death, that he finally achieved a breakthrough and comprehended the master–level sword energy

What he was about to do now was just as insane as before. The difference was that he had the backing of two sect leaders this time.

After hearing their promises, Killian quickly agreed to their demands.

Eliminating Peter was merely an additional step, For Killian, this was far from a difficult

task.

It just so happened that he was also quite upset about Peter getting the Sword King’s inheritance. Now that such a great opportunity presented itself, there was no reason why

he wouldn’t seize it.

Several days passed.

In a secluded courtyard in the Soul Sword Sect, all one could hear was the whistling sound of a sword slicing through the air.

It was none other than Emrys who was practicing.

In just a few short days, he managed to commit the Legendary Sword Technique to memory and execute it with remarkable fluidity.

The first time he tried, he was not familiar with it.

Things became much better the second time.

His movements became to flow by the third time.

For the fourth time…

The man outside the courtyard, who was tasked to guard Emrys, did not disturb him. He did not even dare to sneak a peek inside.

Things changed this day.

Listening to the whistling sound of the sword echoing through the courtyard and feeling the legendary–level sword energy pulsating freely, he could no longer hold himself back. Without disturbing Emrys, he stole a glance.

His eyes widened in shock.

Emrys thrust his sword forward, his movement graceful yet sharp. Before him, the blade shimmered against the light. It was the fifth sword technique from the Soul Sword Technique.

The guard outside the courtyard was so shocked that his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

In just a few days. Emrys managed to master the Soul Sword Technique to such a proficient level. Moreover, he was already on the fifth sword technique, indicating that he had similarly mastered the previous moves.

Within such a short span of time, no one else would be able to grasp even the basics of the first sword technique.

Such a talent for swordsmanship was truly terrifying. It was no wonder that Emrys was the one chosen to obtain the Sword King’s inheritance.

The guard outside the courtyard could no longer contain his excitement. He was eager to share the exciting news with Ruben. After keeping watch for a while and ensuring that no one would interrupt, he hurried off to find Ruben.
