Chapter 860 Genius Emrys

Ruben looked at Emrys in surprise. “Are you sure?”

Emrys stated that he had no need for the Soul Sword Technique, indicating his decision to practice the original version of the Sword Technique, also known as the Legendary Sword Technique. This was a display o6immense self–confidence.

However, Emrys had only asked for a few days to master the technique.

A few days…

Among the disciples of the three great sword sects, including the sect leaders and elders, no one dared to utter such words. Because in just a few days, it was simply impossible to even grasp the basics of the sword techniques.

Only those swordsmanship prodigies who had accompanied the Heavenly Sword King to Mount Jacaster in the past could possibly have managed to learn the basics within a few days.

Emrys’s confidence was somewhat overly blind.

Ruben suggested, “Mr. Griffins, there’s really no need for you to be so anxious. The Legendary Sword Technique I gave you is a handwritten copy, not the original. You can take your time to practice.”

He thought that Emrys was worried that, after a certain period of time, he would have to return the Legendary Sword Technique, which was why he was in such a rush.

Ruben sincerely gifted the set of sword techniques to Emrys, without any intention of having them returned.

Emrys shook his head with a smile and said, “Mr. Ruben, you’ve misunderstood. I’m not in a rush. It’s just that since you’ve shown your sincerity, I naturally need to display my

talents.”

Emrys‘ status as a successor represented the discerning eye of the Heavenly Sword King, a figure whom Ruben deeply admired and respected. It was this reverence that led him to treat Emrys with such kindness

What Emrys could do was to show Ruben through his actions that the judgment of his idol was never wrong, and he would never let down his sincerity.

For a genius, a few days were more than enough.

Although Emrys had never practiced swordsmanship before, he inherited the legendary level sword energy, which filled him with a unique confidence.

Seeing that Emrys was resolute in his decision, Ruben decided not to dampen his enthusiasm any further. He figured that after some time spent in training, Emrys would come to understand that such matters couldn’t be rushed.

“In that case, come with me!”

Ruben led Emrys to a secluded spot designated for sword practice.

This was the place where Ruben usually practiced his swordsmanship. Guards were stationed outside the courtyard, ensuring he wouldn’t be disturbed.

Ruben asked. “Mr. Griffins, do you need me to choose a good sword for you?”

“No need. I have my own.”

Emrys chuckled, a flash of crimson light streaked across, and the Spiritual Control Divine Sword materialized in his hand.

Ruben initially didn’t think much of it, but after a glance at the Spiritual Control Divine Sword, his face revealed a look of surprise. “Mr. Griffins,” he asked, “Where did you get this sword?”

“I got it with a stroke of luck. Why?”

“It’s nothing really, it’s just that your sword feels different from the usual ones. I can’t quite put my finger on what exactly sets it apart, it might just be a gut feeling!”

“Perhaps!”

Naturally, Emrys knew that the Spiritual Control Divine Sword was no ordinary object. After all, it was a gift from Athos, a man who, despite being a silly old man, did not possess. a single mundane item.

Ruben stared at the Spiritual Control Divine Sword for a while, but couldn’t make out anything. He finally gave up and said, “Then, Mr. Griffins, feel free to practice your swordsmanship in this courtyard. If you need anything, just let us know. The people outside will relay the message to me.”

“Thank you, Mr. Ruben,” Emrys said gratefully.

Ruben chuckled, turning to leave. But as he reached the courtyard gate, he couldn’t help but add, “The Legendary Sword Technique is the result of half a lifetime’s insight by the Heavenly Sword King. It’s only natural that it’s challenging. If you find it difficult to practice, don’t be discouraged. There’s still plenty of time ahead.”

Emrys simply nodded in silence.

No sooner had Ruben taken his leave, than Emrys, with a practiced air, thrust his sword forward. The sword gleamed, its sharpness matched only by its inherent grace.

He had effortlessly executed the moves from the Legendary Sword Technique gifted by Ruben moments ago after a quick glance.
