Chapter 730 Spirit Fire

“Spirit fire?”

A trace of unease crept onto Harlan’s countenance as the encompassing black mist swiftly drew in.

Observing this, Emrys was elated.

So it really is useful after all

He had previously believed that magecraft was the most efficient when it came to confronting entities akin to spirits. Yet, in his recent encounter with Jonas, he discovered that that was not the case at all.

The ghost clan, though resembling spectral entities, were entirely different beings.

Thus, a newfound idea struck Emrys. He tried using spirit fire, and, as expected, discerned a subtle but significant hint of trepidation from Harlan.

Who said the ghost clan couldn’t be annihilated? Today, I’ll wipe them

out

Emrys continued to attack with his spirit fire longsword.

Simeon, now weakened to the point of near transparency, wore a complex expression.

He was exasperated and at a loss for words.

Why didn’t you use spirit fire sooner? It’s the ghost clan’s nemesis

Yet, what confounded Simeon was the question of how someone. could constantly carry spirit fire.

It appeared as though the sphere of spirit fire had erupted from Emrys‘ right index finger. Could it be that, like Harlan, he too had merged with the remnants of the Divine Revenant

The physical form of the Divine Revenants was formidable. As long as their hearts remained intact, they were essentially akin to immortal beings.

Consequently, every part of their bodies, especially the skeletons, were incomparably precious treasures.

Harlan’s left arm was of that nature.

Additionally, the corpses of Divine Revenants possessed the ability to conceal the aura of the ghost clan members. This

explained why Yelena couldn’t perceive the ghost clan’s presence on Levente.

“It’s you again, Sky Devourer Lord! Today you will be buried here in Dragon Soul Penitentiary, along with Simeon!”

Perceiving the menace posed by the spirit fire, Harlan felt a tinge of irritation. Prudently, he withdrew all his soul energy back into his body.

He recognized that, no matter how potent the soul energy might be, it held little defense against its adversary, the spirit fire.

Acknowledging this, he opted to engage in a battle between cultivators.

The once–enveloping dark fog had entirely dispersed, and Harlan, wielding his left arm, swung it forcefully. The white bone of his arm shone, astoundingly compelling the spirit fire to recede.

Emrys asked with a hint of surprise, “So this is a remnant of the Divine Revenant’s body? It’s indeed extraordinary.”

The white radiance possessed the unexpected ability to repel the spirit fire, a revelation that caught Emrys off guard. However, there was no time for him to contemplate this unforeseen turn of events. His gaze abruptly hardened, and he swiftly withdrew all the unleashed spirit fire.

Emrys‘ forefinger instantaneously took on a fiery red hue, its surface adorned with a layer of crimson scales. As these scales. melded with his life energy, they morphed into exceptional force.

“You think you can destroy my arm? You must be dreaming!”

Witnessing Emrys daring to engage in the battle with just a single finger, Harlan couldn’t help but scoff, convinced that Emrys must have lost his sanity.

Without hesitation, Harlan clenched his fist and launched a punch, a strike imbued with the formidable strength of a Divine Revenant.

Even magical treasures would succumb under its force, let alone.

minuscule finger.

That finger was indeed strange, but it wouldn’t change anything.

Bang!

Emrys‘ fingers ultimately clashed with Harlan’s fist. It was an audacious gamble on his part, the outcome of which remained uncertain.

The next moment, an unprecedented force of immense magnitude surged upward, coursing through Emrys‘ fingertip.

Rip! Rip! Rip!

The sleeves of Emrys‘ clothing tore, and his entire arm instantly reddened.

That wasn’t even the worst part. The force, unabated, pressed onward. After piercing through Emrys‘ arm, it persisted, striking against his chest.

In the blink of an eye, it seemed as though all of Emrys‘ internal organs had undergone a rearrangement.

The power unleashed was nothing short of terrifying.

Emrys couldn’t help but cough up a mouthful of fresh blood, his pitch–black eyes trembling.
