Chapter 716 Tracking Down The Killer

With the Aura seeking Scroll in hand, things became much easier.

Although the identity of the culprit couldn’t be precisely determined, the aura of the cultivator could still be captured, especially those in Golden Elixir Stage who might usually hide without revealing themselves.

However, as long as they gave off the slightest hint of their presence, it would be marked on the Aura–seeking Scroll, and they could be continuously tracked.

Originally, there weren’t many Golden Elixir Stage cultivators hiding outside, It was estimated that even if the entire Jazona was searched, at most only two or three could be found. Then, identifying the culprit from these two or three wasn’t a difficult task.

The member of the Judd family stared at the scroll in his hand, which by now was covered in countless tiny red dots.

The brightness of the red dots varied, representing the different levels of cultivation base.

The majority were in Energy Cultivation Stage and Foundation Stage, with only a few exceptions. The ones with the most noticeable brightness were evidently those of Golden Elixir Stage from the Judd family.

“Master, I will take the men to Jazona immediately.”

The family member, holding the Aura–seeking Scroll, swiftly departed from the Judd residence.

The murderous intent within Gideon could no longer be contained, erupting uncontrollably. He smashed the tables and chairs to pieces, yet it was still not enough to vent his anger.

“D*mn it!”

Inside the Hermansen residence at the Jipsdale Martial Arts Alliance Headquarters, Levente, with a head full of white hair, was hunched over his desk. A brush in his hand, he was intently sketching something on parchment paper.

On top of the paper lay a massive skeletonized body.

It was huge because the skeletonized body lay amidst the mountains. Its skull resembled a vast mountain range; its limbs were like long rivers; and its torso, in harmony with the surrounding mountains, undulated endlessly.

Levente’s brush and ink focused heavily on the left arm of the skeletonized body. The dense ink was applied over and over again, almost soaking through the parchment paper, imprinting the pattern onto the desk below.

Right then, he sensed someone approaching outside the study.

Levente remained utterly still while speaking softly. “Jonas, after crushing that insignificant Sky Devourer Lord, why don’t you also deal with those people from Martial Arts Alliance Inquisition?

Oh, and…”

Levente paused for a moment, then continued, “If Sky Devourer Palace doesn’t know better and investigates this matter, we should deal with them as well, to avoid anyone getting in your way.”

However, the man who had just entered the study didn’t respond.

Levente furrowed his brows, finally setting down the brush in hist hand. He looked toward the newcomer, his gaze suddenly freezing.

“How did you manage to change your body? Wasn’t the previous one already cultivated to Golden Elixir Stage?” Levente asked in confusion.

“There has been a complication, the body from before has been destroyed,” the man responded.

“Destroyed?”

Levente was puzzled, “Who could have destroyed it? Could it be that there was a Golden Elixir Stage cultivator hidden by Sky Devourer Lord’s that day?”

The man shook his head, “No, my original body was destroyed by Sky Devourer Lord. His power is stronger than we initially estimated.”

“Oh?”

Levente paused for a moment, then scoffed, “I initially thought he was an insect that could be easily crushed. I didn’t expect him to have some skills. How intriguing.”

In this world, the stronger one was, the more understated they tended to be. Those who enjoyed being in the limelight were often of mediocre skill, obsessed with seeking a sense of superiority amidst those of the same level.

To Levente, Sky Devourer Lord was one of them.

If it hadn’t been for his insistence on establishing the Martial Arts Alliance Inquisition to monitor the Martial Arts Alliance, which was nothing but a nuisance, Levente wouldn’t have even bothered to deal with him.

When you reveled in the vanity that the adulation of the common folk brought you, I didn’t care. But you couldn’t bring trouble to my doorstep. Otherwise, you would realize just how foolish and ignorant your past

actions were

This was Levente’s previous thought, so he sent Jonas to kill Sky Devourer Lord.

Unexpectedly, Jonas brought him back such news.

Sky Devourer Lord was in the Golden Elixir stage, yet he still enjoyed hogging the limelight amidst the mediocre, a point that was beyond Levente’s expectations.
