Chapter 706 The Obedient Cordelia 

For the first time, Cordelia realized that Emrys had already grown into a mature young man. 

She had never had that feeling before. 

Even before, when Cordelia found out that Emrys was actually the Empyrean Lord, she never had such a feeling. She was just silently proud of him. 

Deep down, she still regarded him as her little brother, intending to look after him. 

Until that moment, when Emrys‘ hand touched her head, and she saw his indulgent expression, Cordelia suddenly realized that Emrys had grown up so much. 

Of course, that was also due to Emrys always acting frivolously in front of Cordelia, like a child who never grew up.

Of course, there was a prerequisite. The man who was touching the girl’s head had to be someone she liked. Otherwise, he would only get himself cuffed. 

Observing the shift in Cordelia’s emotions, Emrys let out a sigh in his heart. 

Just now, he had naturally noticed the sense of loss in Cordelia’s eyes. The aloof Cordelia had always behaved in such a way, considering herself strong, yet she was unaware that her emotions were already clearly written on her face. 

Emrys saw right through it at a glance.

Just then, Yelena hastily burst in.

Earlier, Emrys‘ attention was entirely focused on Ninette, so he didn’t pay much attention to other things. It couldn’t possibly be that his sisters needed to seek his opinion before they stepped out, right? 

It was at that moment that he noticed something seemed off about Yelena’s expression. 

Following Yelena’s sudden entrance, Cordelia instantly transitioned from her previous obedient demeanor, reverting back to her aloof and authoritative persona. 

Emrys inwardly lamented with regret. 

After much difficulty, the proud Cordelia finally let her guard down, transforming into a gentle little girl. However, Yelena’s intrusion completely shattered that harmonious atmosphere. 

Emrys couldn’t help but glare fiercely at Yelena. 

However, he noticed her expression was serious. 

He then asked, “Lena, what were you doing outside just now? Why do you have such a serious expression? Did someone offend you?” 

Emrys also found it strange. 

To put it in perspective, Yelena was now a cultivator herself. Although she was only in the Energy Cultivation Stage, an

Hence, Emrys was certain there was a problem.

“Lena, please don’t scare me. I’m frightened.” Ninette was hanging onto Emrys, to begin with. 

Upon hearing Yelena’s words, ‘she immediately clung to him even tighter. Her small head rested on Emrys‘ shoulder as she looked around nervously. 

Yelena spoke without hesitation. “Ninette, stop pretending. If you want to take advantage of Rys, just say it. After all, you were once barely considered a war reporter. There’s no way you’re such a coward.”
