Chapter 11 – Feeling

The four of them headed up to the bridge and Cai Yiu remained behind on the platform hoping to give his mind some rest. Yet restless, a strange feeling of discomfort took over his mind.

Looking around on a circular movement, Cai Yiu Hun felt something was different, as if somehow the ship was not as cozy as when he boarded it back in Nibiru.

He looked straight up to the deckhead above his round bald head and raised his arm trying to reach it with his hand.

“Strange.” He could not reach it any more.

Hesitant, Cai Yiu Hun inclined his head to the right and then to the left, trying to obtain a different perspective of what could have possibly changed, figuring if he was perhaps imagining things.

After recalculating the height, Cai Yiu lifted his hills standing on his tip toes and once again started to raise his arm, confident that he would finally reach the point he aimed for.

Before he could finish straightening his arm, Chariot 3 suddenly stopped the Nibirian from satisfying his curiosity.

“Cai Yiu Hun, you are expected on the Bridge.”

The armory and weapon specialist sighed, turned back to the ascending unit, and saw the step he needed to take to make his way up. Without acknowledging the instructions, Cai Yiu simply ignored the ship`s voice and continued to focus on that strange feeling.

Trusting his instincts once again, Cai Yiu Hun turned his eyes forward, and lifted his chin facing the deckhead, swiftly raising his hand once again.

“Immediately, Sir.”

Chariot 3`s unemotional voice sounded unexpectedly louder, ensuring Cai Yiu would acknowledge the message without reluctance at this time.

Cai Yiu Hun`s heartbeat increased, he anxiously bit his thin leaps and annoyed, turned back to the ascending unit, trying to forget what he ended up concluding to be most likely, a meaningless quest.

Stepping on the cylindrical step, Cai Yiu felt its coldness upon the first touch, looked to the deckhead for a last observation, and was lifted to join the others.

On his way up, Cai Yiu Hun passed by the essential tube and without stopping, contemplated the splendid and liquid formic antimatter.

At last, Cai Yiu reached the Bridge, striving to let it go.
