Caught Between Two Kings
Chapter 14

I watched in horror as Elena did a spell that trapped firebird in a cocoon like shell, me and Roman stood up calling her name but it was too late we could not see her through the cocoon.

King Alex spoke up for the first time,

"Oh no she didn't"

"What on earth is that thing king Alex" asked Roman.

"That is an ancient spell that no paranormal can break through once inside, it is said that only a phoenix of royal blood can counter the spell but as we all know the phoenix as been extinct for hundreds of years now, so I'm afraid your queen is gone forever" he said looking sympathetic.

I lost it at that moment and started screaming her name over and over trying to race to the arena but Roman held me back, I turned towards him and noticed he was vibrating and his wolf was close to the surface but he was holding himself back, seeing him this way made me calm down a little.

I heard Elena say,

"I guess I'm the new queen of Themesdera, told you she was nothing"

I was about to shift and shredd her to pieces when I heard something cracking and it seemed to be coming from the cocoon, I turned towards it just in time to see something explode out of it.

I was shocked at what I saw, firebird was flying with a cloud of fire surrounding her and she had beautiful flaming red wings that looked like that of an angel, she looked beyond ethereal that she took my breath away.

I looked around me and saw that everyone was staring with gaping mouths, they stared with shock and awe.

I heard king Alex whisper,

"That's impossible, it.....it can't be."

For the first time king Alex actually looked scared, pale, and surprised.

"Nothing is impossible when it comes to our little bird" replied Roman

I smiled when i looked towards Elena and saw she looked about ready to faint, she looked beyond terrified at this point.

Firebird suddenly said

"It's not over until I say so Elena, get ready to bow down to your queen".

I heard king Alex say,

"A phoenix, a damn phoenix, how's that possible?"

I heard Roman chuckle beside me and i smiled, something told me Elena was in for a surprise.
