Chapter 4

Alexia's POV

A few minutes have passed and I'm still dangling upside down from his broad shoulder, kicking, slapping and muttering curses and still no idea where the hell is he taking me...

"Let me go! I don't want a mate and neither want to go anywhere with you!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"One more word and you might regret opening that little mouth of yours, mate." he finally replied.

"I thought you became deaf; since you're annoyed as hell and can hear me quite well, then LET.ME.GO.NOW." I screeched.

In a matter of seconds, I was standing on my feet, a little bit dizzy yet, I’m pinned to a wall.

His hands were gripping my arms harshly, I felt tingles from his touch; they say you only feel those tingles from you mate...

I found my mate almost losing control of his wolf, his eyes are now almost charcoal black; well that happens when I'm stubborn...a lot.

"I told you...you're gonna regret disrespecting me, mate."

His wolf was on edge of taking control. His fangs were now extending and his face is getting closer to my neck where my mate's mark should be, I heard that marking your mate tells other wolves that you're off-limits and you are already somebody else's but hurts like hell.

Wait a minute, Is he going to me! No way in hell am I going to let him do that!

I started thrashing and whipping my head to the sides to make it difficult for him to mark me, he was not buying it; he added more pressure to my arms, it will surely leave bruises but I wasn't gonna let him mark me, I lifted my knee and with as much force I could muster, I hit him in his groin...

His hands' pressure was gone in a second and with that, I pushed him with much strength I could get and left him stumbling backwards resulting him falling to the ground. I ran as quick as my feet could take me as if my life depended on it, which technically is true.

I kept running until I saw a river. The moonlight was shining upon it and only my inhaling and exhaling were heard. A bloodcurdling howl emitted not far away from me. I increased my speed up though I only felt pain from my unhealed injury yet it wasn't enough to stop me.

I felt a weight on my body and I fell to the floor whilst someone pinning me to the floor...

Obviously, It was my mate.

I started thrashing more and more yet it was no use he was only centimetres away from my neck, almost marking me when another man came from behind the trees and called him

"Alpha..."

Holy hell! I freakin trespassed on a territory without realising and found my mate whose an alpha?! How bad can things get to me after all of this?

My mate growled at him but from the looks of it, they were mind linking each other. As quickly as that man got here, he left again leaving me with my mate. Suddenly my mate released me and stood to his feet whilst I tried to get away quickly but with no use.

My asshole of a mate took a hold of my upper arms and yanked me to my feet then roughly turned me to face him and I had his slightly muscular arm wrapped around my waist; swiftly lifting me, to yet leave me again hanging, scratching, punching, kicking, cursing and screaming from his shoulder...

Landon's POV

(First time Lexi was on his shoulder)

It's been a few minutes while my mate was hanging upside down my bare shoulder, kicking, punching, thrashing and cussing anything that gets on her mind...I need to teach her not to cuss when we get on good terms with each other...

"Let me go! I don't want a mate and neither do I want to go anywhere with you!"

She kept screaming but I wasn't paying her any attention nor did I talk to her at all. I didn't reply not because she was becoming annoying but because she didn't want me as her mate...

"One more word and you might regret opening that little mouth or yours, mate."

"I thought you became deaf; since you're annoyed as hell and can hear me quite well, then LET.ME.GO." She demanded.

My wolf Jack was surfacing and almost succeeded in taking control, I put her down and pinned her to a tree and held her arms roughly,

I was gonna make her scared a bit by scratching my fangs where my mark should be and I found her quite restless and started thrashing more and more. Jack was becoming anxious about it.

"We need to know why is she like that," Jack said and I agreed with him...

My mate suddenly succeeded in hitting my crotch harshly, I was surprised and too slow to block her hit; she was able to push me and I fell to the ground from pain while she ran as if a monster was gonna eat her...

I wasn't stunned from her kick. It wasn’t that strong, I was afraid that she might really leave me.

"Something must've happened or scared her that much to make her do all that..."

Jack is right I need to get my mate and see what all of this is about...

I was angry, not furious, sweet-scented blood was on the shirt, my mate's blood...

I sprinted through the forest to find my mate...

When I saw her from a distance, I let a bloodcurdling howl to let her know that I’m near. I don’t her to faint from the fright. She was definitely terrified and if someone hurt her, I'm gonna kill him.

No one touches my mate. She's mine and mine only...Jack was a tiny bit away from controlling our body but thanks to my beta Oliver, he emerged from between the trees and mind linked me.

"Landon?"

"What is it, Oliver?"

I was so angry at my mate that I growled at him, anyone would've freaked out but Oliver knows me since ages ago so he knows my temper quite well...

"Why are you straddling a girl in the middle of the forest?"

"She's my mate and is trying to run away as if her life depended on it..."

"Maybe it's because of your reputation as an alpha."

"Doesn't seem like it. If she did, she would probably beg for her life or like a good pup, she would come willingly without a commotion..."

"What are you going to do with her then?"

"I'm taking her with me."

I told him with an of-course-What-do-you-think-I'm-gonna-do-idiot? Way. And Oliver being Oliver, he snickered.

"Of course you will."

"Do me a favour and take care of the rogue problem until I settle everything here?"

"Yeah, man. Now let's go, there are still some rogues lingering near the woods..."

As he started going towards the packhouse, I let go of my mate and stood to my feet. She was trying to get away again but I was faster; I yanked her to her feet and turned her so she was facing me and lifted her on my shoulders again. She started thrashing and cursing again but I didn't utter a word.

I followed Oliver while thinking about my mate...

While lifting her, the dirty shirt she was wearing arose a little, leaving a bit of her stomach exposed. And there, I saw it...

My trouble-maker of a little mate has got lots of explanations to do...
