Kelly POV

It was very difficult to bring that part of my life back up. Snow and I both feel safe and comfortable with Alpha Michael and his pack. We don't understand why yet though. I look up to see Beta Nick tell Alpha Michael that the Gemma and the girls are coming up. Alpha Michael nods his head ok and looks at me "You will be meeting my Gamma James, his mate Amy, and Beta Nick's mate Christy which makes her Beta Female." There he goes again with the "Mate thing" but instead of asking him what it means I just nod my head because yes, I am comfortable with him but not so much I can ask stupid questions with him.

I am broken from my thoughts, with a knock on the door. Alpha Michael goes over to the door and opens it. When the people come in, there is two beautiful woman and a good-looking man. The two women walk over to where I am sitting and sit right next to me. They both smile, "Hi, I am Amy, James's Mate and this is Christy Nick's mate. I am glad to see another decent chick in this house." I look at her in confusion. What does she mean decent girl? Christy looks up at Amy, "I totally agree. The girls here are nice and all but most of them just want to get close to Michael, to see if they are his mate or not." I look between the two of them as Snow chimes in "I like them. They are nice and welcoming, too". I have a small smile on my face at her saying that, due to the fact that she does not say that about many people, mainly due to us going through what we did.

As I am about to talk to them, Alpha Michael asks, "Can you girls take Kelly to the Alpha level. I want her up there in the spare bedroom so I know no one will mess with her, also some new clothes. Let her borrow some of yours for now and later we can take her shopping for more clothes." The girls both say "Yep". "I am sorry, Alpha Michael but you do not have to do all that for me. I am just a rogue now, I guess. I do not want you to go out of your way for someone like me. Honestly, I am surprised that you are doing all this for me, after what I just told you." "Kelly, the reason I am giving you all of this, is for your safety and well-being. Plus, I think the girls are excited that you are here. It gives them someone to pamper and shop for." Both of the girls look at me and smile. When I look back at Alpha Michael, he is also smiling at me. "Thank you, Alpha Michael." After that the girls grab me and drag me away to an elevator to go up to the Alpha level.

When we get to the Alpha's apartment, I was stunned, it was huge. It had its own kitchen, living room, and two full bedrooms. Amy walks into the kitchen, "Would you like a drink?" I nod my head "Water, please", Christy gets a water as well. They walk me around the apartment and show me to the room I will be staying in. We end up on the couch talking about Amy and Christy. I listen to them talk about their mates and how great they are. I have to ask someone what they are. Apparently, they are pretty important in the werewolf's life. So, I look up at them, "Can I ask you guys a question?", they look at me with a smile and Christy nods her head. "What are mates? I heard Alpha Michael and Beta Nick talk about them and now you guys." They look at me like deer in headlights. They both than look at each other and back at me. Amy is the first to get over the shock look. "A mate is your soulmate. All werewolves get one, they are gifted to you by the moon goddess. Mates are your other half. You can start looking for your mate at the age of 18." Christy jumps in "They complete you. When you find yours, you see nothing else but them. When you find them, you get this most wonderful smell ever. How do you not know what a mate is?". I look down, "I have been locked away since I was nine years old, with nothing to do other than talk to the other wolves held captive." They both look at me with sad faces.
