Chapter 2

Beta Nick POV

I am out patrolling the lake that is on our land today. We get a lot of rogues here due to the water. So, as I am walking out of the woods towards the lake my wolf, Ash, says "I smell a wolf, but it is not the smell of a rogue thou." I smell the air as I agree with Ash. We look ahead to see a small wolf swimming across the water as fast as her legs will go. When I look behind her, I see Alpha Jack's Beta Josh running out of the woods to dive in the water after the wolf. I am guessing it is a she-wolf due to her size.

I mind link Alpha Michael to come to the lake at the east side boarder. I walk up and get ready to do my warning growl for when she gets out only to have her get out, run up to me, and submit to me as she is looking at me with pleading eyes, almost like asking for help. I look up from her to see that Beta Josh is coming out of the water and shaking off. When I go to look back at the she-wolf, she runs behind me, whining and shaking with her tail tuck tightly under her, while looking at Josh. As I shift back to my human form, so does he.

The she-wolf stays in her wolf form, which only shows me that she is too afraid to shift and that her wolf will not let her due to it not being safe enough. After Josh and I throw on some shorts I say " You are on Silver Stone Pack territory. What do you want so bad that makes you cross over the boarder?" Josh looks at me and says "I am here to get the she-wolf that is behind you. Just hand her over so I can take her back to Alpha Jack." I look at the she-wolf and back at Josh. "She doesn't look like she wants to go with you. What is your beef with her?" " That is none of your concern. Just hand her over so I can take her home." "Well, if that's the case you can talk to Alpha Michael as he is almost here now." He looks down to the little she-wolf and growls at her. Just as he was about to say something else, we heard Alpha Michael coming up behind me. I turn to see Nyx, Alpha Michael's wolf, coming out of the woods. He stops and looks around at the situation, then he shifts to his human. He walks up to stand by me and says, " If you or Alpha Jack has any beef with her than have him come talk to me himself, because from what I can see she doesn't want to go with you." Beta Josh looks back at her, growls "Fine, I will tell him. Alpha Jack will be pleased to see you, Kelly." She then whined and hid further behind me.
