Chapter 6

“Right everyone, another round. Daniel was walking!” I shouted and everyone groaned while running.

“But Mia-”

“Nope! Start running Daniel!” I smirked and he rolled his eyes and started jogging.

“You can go inside if you want. Have more practice on your cakes” Summer said and I nodded

“Thanks” I walked off the stage.

I walked through the back door to see Ryan and Sarah kissing.

“Woah!” I exclaimed and Sarah pushed him away.

“What?” Ryan mumbled and pulled Sarah out of the kitchen.

Okay. I was just shocked.

“They’re mates” I heard Tyler’s voice. I turned around to see him walk inside the kitchen.

“They are? Really?” I asked shocked

“There’s no need to be sarcastic” he muttered washing his hands

“I wasn’t! It’s kind of shocking to me, because I would never have guessed it, plus they never told me” I exclaimed as he starting putting some water in a pan.

“What are you doing?” I asked

“Cooking. You’re making them tired, so they will need food” he shook his head like I was stupid.

“Well this pack needs training. From what I heard, this pack definitely needs training” I mumbled as he froze

“Mia!” He shouted grabbing my hand and pulling me down, just as the window broke, and I could hear shooting.

“Hunters.” He mumbled looking at the arrow.

“Where’s Summer?” I mumbled thinking why did I leave her alone.

“She’s going to be with Adam. He’ll look after her. I want you to go upstairs to my room”

“Your room?” I questioned pretending I didn’t know where it was

“Don’t be stupid Mia. I know you came to my room. Now go, before you get hurt” he pushed me on my knees

“I’m not going to get hurt Tyler. I can protect myself” I stood up just as an arrow missed my head

“Protect yourself? I don’t think so. Now go” he stood up but was hidden behind a cupboard

“Stop treating me like a baby, Tyler. I can fight!” I shouted watching Daniel run into the kitchen

“Mia! Mia what are you doing here! Tyler take her to safe house. She’s a fucking human!” Daniel shouted and Tyler grabbed my hand.

“No! Tyler stop!” I shouted as he pulled me out of the kitchen.

“It’s for you own safety Mia!” He exclaimed pulling me upstairs.

“Safety? I have to protect this pack, Tyler! It’s my job. That’s why I was sent here!” I held onto the door handle, to a room.

“For fuck sake Mia!” He growled, picking me up, bridal style, and running upstairs.

“Tyler!“I punched him in the chest but he ignored it, and walked towards my room door.

“Stay here. I need to help” he muttered pushing me inside the room and closing the door.

Stay here? Fuck you I thought and walked to my closet. I opened the door, and pulled out my gold scarf, which had my gold knife inside.

Mom always told me to use this in case of an emergency? Well this one is.

I grabbed the knife then my bow and arrows, and walked to the door. I tried to open the door but it was locked.

“Asshole!” I yelled and walked to the window. Outside I could see, wolf’s, fighting, and Tyler standing in the corner?

I opened the window, and looked down. Two floors? I can do it!

I sat on the windowsill and looked down.

Don’t worry Mia. It’s not that high I thought and closing my eyes.

I jumped down and straight into someone’s arms.

“What the fuck Mia!” I heard Daniel’s voice. I opened my eyes to see Daniel’s chest.

“Thanks” I kissed his cheek and jumped down.

“Mia!” Daniel shouted as I ran away from him. I ran around wolf’s, and towards a big tree.

I climbed the tree slowly and got the a big branch and sat on it. Now, I can’t shift into a big wolf or run as fast as vampires, but what I can do is, use a bow and arrow. My dad taught me how to use a knife and all those tools.

I grabbed my arrow and set it into my bow. I looked down to see a Hunter about to shoot someone, I pulled the string with the arrow back and let it go, resulting the guy falling to the floor. Boo yah

After 10 minutes of fighting, well me shooting, the fight was over.

I climbed down the tree slowly, only to be influged into a hug.

“Mia” Daniel whispered, taking a deep breath.

“I’m okay Daniel” I whispered back, ignoring the pain in my head.

“Mia? Mia are you listening to me?“I heard Daniel’s voice and I nodded slowly

We’re losing her!!! I heard a female voice in my head.

“I’m okay” I whispered leaning against Daniel and closing my eyes.

I felt him pick me up and take me somewhere. I opened my eyes to see I was laying on the sofa.

I stayed quiet for a while until Tyler walked in to the room.

“Tyler go back to your room. You know you weren’t supposed to be out, when there’s a fight!” Daniel stood up

“They weren’t here for me Daniel. And I can look after myself! I’m not baby! They were after Mia!” Tyler exclaimed and I looked at him shocked

“After me? What the fuck did I do?” I sat up as Daniel walked towards me

“I’m okay Daniel” I smiled and he nodded, as I stood up and looked at Tyler

“You’re the princess, and you’re a human? Do you want me to say anything else?” Tyler shrugged

“But I can still fight them” I mumbled

“No you can’t Mia! You need to understand Mia, your wolf is not with you!” Tyler shouted

“So? I can still fight them Tyler! And wolf? It could be a vampire as well!” I shouted back

“Trust me it’s not! You’re a wolf! Okay!” He shouted and walked out of the room.

“Don’t walk away from me Tyler!” I shouted as Daniel chased after him upstairs.

I walked upstairs slowly, and when I got to Tyler’s door I stopped.

“I seen the way you look at her! Stop it okay! She’s my mate!” I heard Daniel growl at him.

“Your mate? Really Daniel! When she finds out what you have done, she will be running away from you!” Tyler exclaimed

“Will you stop saying that! I didn’t do i-”

“Yes you did Daniel. I was there!” Tyler shouted

“Just because your mate rejected you doesn’t mean you go after others” I heard Daniel mutter

“She didn’t reject me Daniel and you know it! I rejected her! Because when I found my mate, you were fucking her like there was no tomorrow!” Tyler growled at him.

“I’m your Alpha!” Daniel growled

“I don’t give a fuck!”

“I can throw you out of this pack” Daniel threatened

“Really? You know this pack is only standing because of me! I don’t even know why you asked for Mia and Summer!” Tyler exclaimed

“You know why!”

“Yeah. And when she finds out! She’s not going to love you Daniel. Just come out clean to her and get this over with!”

“I can’t! I’m warning you Tyler, don’t go near her!”

“She already likes me. I can feel it! When ever I step close to her, her heart beats faster! Does it happen to you?” I heard a growl and something break.

I got up slowly and opened the door to see Daniel punching Tyler.

“Daniel stop!”

“Mia go away!” I heard Tyler’s voice

“No” I exclaimed as Daniel looked up at me with black eyes, and he growled

“Okay” I mumbled and walked out of the room.

Why am I pretending! Why can’t I just accept that I am human and useless.
