Chapter 23

Tyler’s p.o.v

I woke up to someone crying. I opened my eyes to see Amber sat next to me.

“Amber?” I mumbled standing up, feeling empty from inside.

“Amber, I told you to leave. Why do you want to see Mia hurt? I won’t let you hurt Mia or make her upset. Leave me alone!” I tried to talk some sense into her.

“Tyler, Mia sh-”

“Don’t, please.” I looked around to see I was in the living room.

I remember feeling pain in my chest,and fainting. I’ve never fainted before

I walked out of the living room and was about to walk upstairs, when I heard crying in the kitchen. I walked into the kitchen to see Summer crying.

“Erm, Summer are you okay?” I asked rubbing the back of my head.

I want to be friends with her because of Mia. If she’s Mia’s friend, them she’s mine

“Tyler! You’re awake!” She sobbed

“Are you crying because of me? Did I do something wrong?” I muttered feeling upset.

Ever since I was wake, I felt like I have no purpose to live. And my only purpose to live is Mi-

“Is it Mia?” I asked quietly and she nodded

I turned around and ran upstairs to Mia’s room. I opened the door to see Mia laying on the bed with a cover over her head, and Alec and Emily crying.

“Mia!” I shouted running to the bed and removing the cover from her head to see her face pale.

“No baby, no, no, no”I shook my head continously rubbing her hands, to wake her up

“Ty-”

“Don’t” I growled at Emily.

“Tyler sh-”

“I SAID DON’T!” I growled loudly looking at Mia.

“If you don’t wake up Mia, I won’t talk to you” I mumbled touching her cheek, to feel no sparks.

“No, no,no” I whispered running a hand through her hair.

“Wake up, please. You promised me” I whispered tears rolling down my face.

“Tyler” Emily hugged me

“She promised” I whispered and Emily nodded

“She promised me that she won’t leave me. She promised me” I let Emily go and turned to Mia.

“Wake up! Now!” I shouted at her.

“You are not leave me! Do you understand!” I shouted

“I understand” I heard her voice.

“So wake up then!” I shouted

“I’m here Tyler” I heard her voice behind me. I turned around to see Mia standing in the corner, smirking at me.

“You don’t leave me like this okay? Was this a prank?” I stood up and hugged her tightly.

“Tyler, wha-” I shook my head at Emily.

“I didn’t think you would do this prank Emily. It’s the worst prank ever” I mumbled and she looked at me confused

“Tyler no one can see me, except you” Mia whispered into my ear as I let her go.

“What?” I asked confused

“I’ll explain later” she smiled

“Tyler!” Emily shouted turning me around

“What?” I asked confused

“What’s wrong with you?” She asked softly

“Nothing” I smiled

“Are you not upset? Mia-”

“I know. Come on Mia. I want you to explain everything” I turned to Mia and held her hand, and walked out of the room.

Emily’s p.o.v

Tyler walked out of the room, smiling. I’m so confused.

“Alec, what wrong with him?” I turned around and looked at him.

“I don’t know”he whispered wiping his eyes.

“I-I” I looked at Mia, tears in my eyes.

“I want to give Mia the best funeral” Alec walked out of the room.

“Why did you leave me Mia?” I whispered putting the cover over her again.

“I think, something is wrong with Tyler” I whispered as he walked into the room.

“Emily, Mia didn’t eat, and there’s no food in the fridge, so I’m going out shopping” he turned around but I stopped him.

“Wait!” He turned around and raised an eyebrow

“Yes?”

“Are you okay Tyler?”

“More than okay” he smiled looking at his right side.

“So why are you going shopping for Mia? Tyler, Mia- she’s no more” I whispered and he froze

“Don’t say that Emily. Mia, is right next to me. It’s just you guys can’t see her” he smiled again, at his right side,folding his hand around the air.

“Tyler, don’t go crazy” I mumbled sitting down on the bed.

“Emily” he took a deep breath and walked towards me, getting down on his knees.

“I’m not. I promise. Mia, is right here, next to you” he smiled at me slightly

“Tyl-”

“I promise to tell you everything Mia tells me” he held my hand

“Tyler! Mia isn’t here!” I shouted and he growled

“Don’t-” he took a deep breath and smiled slightly at something behind me.

“You don’t understand Emily. I’ll explain everything to you later. Come on Mia, let’s go. Chinese food right?” He stood up,folding his hand in the air, again.

Tyler’s p.o.v

“So you’re a ghost?” I asked confused

“Yes. I asked the moon goddess, if I could stay here, and she said I could, but the only thing was,that she would let one person see me. And I chose you” I smiled at her.

“But what’s going go happen now?” I asked confused and she shrugged eating her chips

“Well, I think, everything goes back to normal. You’re acting weird infront of my parents Tyler, and they think you’re going crazy” she smirked

“I’ll try” I whispered staring at her. Mia is a ghost but she doesn’t look like one, well how someone would imagine a ghost.

She’s not floating or see through. She’s perfect, just like how she was before.

“Don’t look a the like that” she threw a chip on me.

“I can’t help it. You’re so beautiful” she blushed

“Let’s go home. I want to stay with my parents for a while. They need me” she stood up

“But ho-”

“I’ll tell you, and you say it, please?” I nodded holding my hand and walking out of the shop.

I walked towards my car and opened the door for her, as people stared at me.

“You look stupid, you know that right?” She sat inside and I ran to my seat.

“I know. But I don’t care” I mumbled driving home.

Mia explained to me, how she’s going to stay a ghost now. Forever.

I parked the car and Mia got out.

“I could have opened the door for you” I raised my eyebrow.

“We all know you’re a gentleman” she said holding my hand and we walked inside.

“Don’t smile so much, people will think you don’t love me, and that you were happy to see me die” she smirked at me.

“Sorry baby” she slapped my head

“Don’t call me baby” I nodded as we walked inside the living room.

“You say what I say okay?” Mia said to me and I nodded looking at Emily and walking inside the room.

“Mom” Mia looked at me.

“Mo- Emily” she looked up at me, wiping her eyes.

“Tyler is a jerk face”

“Tyler is a jerk- what!” I looked at Mia and she giggled

“You’re so serious though” she smiled, while giggling

“I want to get it right!” I exclaimed and she nodded, sitting up straight.

“Okay” she held my hand.

“Properly now Mia!” I smirked and she nodded

“Don’t worry about Mia, she’s okay,and she’s always right next to you. I won’t go away mom” Mia whispered and I turned to Emily,who was looking at me while tears were running down her face.

“Tyler, you love Mia so much, that you think she’s next to you. Tyler you need to beileve it. Mia is gone” Emily whispered and I nodded

“I know Emily. I know” I sighed

“So why-”

“Because Mia, is a ghost now. She sat right here next to me” I turned to Mia who was staring up at me.

“Wh-”

“It’s true. But the only problem is that only I can see her”

“Why!” She stood up

“Because that’s what the moon goddess wanted. And Mia chose to only see me” I said and she rolled her eyes

“What about me?” I turned to Mia.

“Tyler needs me”

“I need her” I said to Emily and she nodded sitting down

“So she’s here?” Emily asked and I nodded as Mia stood up and walked towards Emily.

“Where?”

“In front of you”

“Shit!” Emily exclaimed jumping back.

“Really? I scare you now? You can’t even see me!” Mia exclaimed and I chuckled

“What did she say?” Emily asked

“That she scares you now. And the fact that you can’t see her” Emily smiled slightly

“I didn’t think she would stand infront of me.” She mumbled just as Amber walked into the room.

“What is she doing here!” Mia growled and I stood up

“I thought I told you to leave Amb-”

“I told her to stay. She has no one Tyler. You’re the only person she knows in Texas.” Emily stood up and Mia groaned

“Really mom! Really?”

“It’s okay Mia. I don’t like her-” Amber scoffed

“It wasn’t like that, a couple of years ago. You loved me Tyler,and you know it. And Mia? She’s dead” I growled

“Get out!”

“I won’t leave you Tyler. You can only be mine. We’ve been together for 2 years, and you only knew Mia for a couple of months or so!” She exclaimed and ran out of the castle.

“Let me kill her” Mia mumbled

“I’ll be back. I need to tell Alec” I’ll ran out of the room

“I only love you Mia. I will always love you and no one else” I smiled at her, loving it when she gets jealous

“You better, or else,we’re over” she smirked hugging me tightly

“I didn’t want to leave Tyler. I wanted to stay, with everyone. I wanted to be with you for real, but I couldn’t” she whispered

“And we will still be together Mia. No matter what happens” she hugged me tightly.
