Chapter 2

“Mia, just listen to me at least!” Mom exclaimed.

“What mom? I want to go out!” I turned around looking at her.

“You can’t get a tattoo!” She said.

“Dad said I could, and mom I’m 19!” I mumbled sitting on the sofa.

“When did your dad say it! Alec!” Mom shouted and I groaned.

“I can’t believe this!” I muttered as dad walked towards mom.

“Yes?”

“Did you say Mia can get a tattoo?” Mom asked and dad shook her head.

“Nope!” Dad looked at me.

“Sorry.” I whispered and mom sighed.

“Mia, you can’t lie to us.” Mom said.

“It was only this once! But why can’t I get it? I mean I am 19” I exclaimed.

“You’re leaving today, and a tattoo is going to hurt. How are you going to protect the pack?” Mom asked.

“You never told me which pack I’m going to protect?” I asked forgetting about the tattoo.

“The Black Crystal Pack.” Mom sighed.

“What!” I gasped standing up.

“I know sweetie, but this is practise for you, being a princess, and a pack warrior.” Mom said.

“But mom that pack is dangerous. They’re bad.” I muttered.

“And they want to be good. It’s my job to protect everyone Mia, and that is also a pack I have to protect.” She said and I nodded.

“A pack of vampires and werewolfs mixed.” I mumbled.

“I really don’t want to send you there, but your mom said that I’ll have to slee-”

“TMI dad! But Mom is right dad, it would good for me.” I smiled at dad and he nodded.

“Maybe you could find your mate?” Mom shrugged and I rolled my eyes.

“Mom I don’t have a mate. I’m human.” I explained.

“I still think you would have a mate. Anyway, have you packed your suitcase? What about Summer?” Mom asked.

“Yeah. She’s ready as well. When are we going?” I asked.

“In an hour. I’m going to be taking you, and then I’ll come back. You can say your goodbyes to your friends.” Dad said and I scoffed.

“The only friend I have is coming with me. You both know that nobody in this pack wants to be friends with me because I’m a human. I haven’t even had a boyfriend!” I exclaimed.

“Good.” Dad mumbled walking out of the room.

“I’ll be back. You make sure you have everything ready.” Mom said walking after dad.

“Dad I think you can drop us off here.” I mumbled as dad started horning.

“Why? Embarrassed?” He smirked putting his hand on the horn and not removing it.

“Dad!” I exclaimed pulling his hand away as a few people ran out of an average pack house.

“Alpha King! You’re here early. Come on in. I’ll let Alpha Blake know.” A guy said and he ran inside.

Summer and I got out the car as dad got out, walking to the back.

“I’ll meet the Alpha, but I want you both to be good. Summer? I’m giving you the responsibility to look after Mia for me okay? And Mia look after Summer as well. If you do find your mates let me know. Okay?” Dad said to Summer and she nodded.

“Okay uncle Alec. I’ll make sure she’s a good girl, and doesn’t mess about!” Summer smirked at me.

“I don’t mess about!” I exclaimed as a guy with brown hair walked towards us.

“Alpha Blake is ready to see you.” He said and dad nodded.

“You are the Beta right? Beta Adam?” Dad asked and the guy nodded.

We followed Adam inside, and straight to an office. The pack house looked amazing from the inside. From the outside, it looked like shit, but like they say, don’t judge a book by its cover.

We went inside a small office to see a guy’s standing next to the window, not facing us.

“Daniel, Alpha King is here.” The beta said and the guy turned around, he was smoking.

“Alpha King. I am glad that you have accepted our offer, but these tw-” when he looked at me he stopped talking.

“MINE” he growled and I rolled my eyes.

“Really? That is the most cliché thing I have ever heard.” I muttered as he walked towards me and hugged me tightly.

“Let me go!” I pushed him away and he moved away confused.

“Summer, Mia, you guys go ahead to your rooms, and I’ll talk to Alpha Blake.” Dad said and I nodded.

I hugged dad tightly.

“Tell him to stop smoking.” I whispered into dad’s ear and he chuckled.

“He heard.” Dad mumbled as I let him go and Summer hugged him tightly.

“I’ll stay in touch.” Dad said and we followed Adam out of the office.

“You both will have to share a room? Is that okay with you both?” Adam asked, walking upstairs.

“Sure! More sleepovers.” Summer smirked.

“Okay, you guys settle in, dinner is at 7.” He walked out the room.

“Someone needs to pull the stick out from his ass.” I mumbled walking inside the room.

“He’s just being professional.” She sighed laying on the bed.

“We-”

“I think he’s my mate!” Summer exclaimed, sitting up.

“What?” I asked confused closing the door.

“I could feel it, but he didn’t look at me, nor did he touch me. I just felt it.” she sighed.

“That’s good. Summer, you are never the type of person to avoid your mate, so go talk to him.” I said sitting next to her.

“Did you feel anything when you saw Alpha Blake?” She asked and I shook my head.

“Not even a single little thing. Not even those sparks, you said when you touch your mate.” I said and she nodded.

“I think this pack needs more than 1 week to help them. The first couple of days, I was thinking, we just make them all fun. They all look so serious!” She shook her head.

“True.” I said as Adam walked back into the room with our suitcases.

“Alpha King has gone.” He said leaving the suitcases.

“Wait Adam. Can I feel your muscles?” Summer asked standing up and I bit my lip to stop laughing.

“I have to-” Summer walked up to him and touched his face.

“Why are you running away from me?” She asked quietly and I got up and walked out of the room.

I walked down the steps, just as Alpha Blake walked out of his office, smoking.

“Mia.” He smirked at me.

“Blake.” I muttered.

“It’s Daniel.” He walked towards me.

“Before you get any closer, can you throw that out!” I said and he shook his head.

“Nope.” He muttered taking another long drag and blowing it out.

“Okay.” I muttered, confused.

Normally when mom tells dad to do something, he does it?

“Can you feel this?” He asked touching my face.

“Nope.” I removed his hand and walked around him.

“Where are you going, little mate of mine?” I heard the smirk in his voice.

“To eat, why? You going to stop me?” I turned around and he chuckled.

“No baby, you go ahead, I’ll get pack ready for their training.” Be turned around.

“No! Daniel, we’re not going to train yet. Summer and I need to familiarise ourself with this pack.” I said and he nodded.

“Alright.” He walked upstairs. I walked to the kitchen to see a guy and a girl standing there.

“Hi, I’m Mia, Alpha King’s daughter-”

“We know who you are.” The guy muttered turning around.

“No need to be rude. I was just introducing myself.” I muttered about to walk out.

“Wait! Sorry about Ryan, you can stay? Did you need something?” The girl asked and I turned around and nodded.

“It’s okay. I don’t mind. Can I have my food early please?” I asked and she sighed.

“Sorry, but no food is ready. It’s only 4, and Tyler has gone to get some ingredients.” She sighed as I sat down on a stool.

“Oh. Okay, do you guys need any help?”

“No. You can leave.” Ryan muttered.

“Ryan!” The girl whispered harshly.

“What Sarah?” He groaned.

“I’ll leave.” I walked out of the kitchen.

First day and so much has happened! God save me now!
