Chapter 11

Yesterday night, I didn’t let Daniel enter the room. I told him, that from now on he can sleep in another room.

I brushed my hair, and turned around to see the guy-from the forest- sat on my bed

“How do you get in?” I asked putting my comb on the table.

“I’m a wizard. I can block my scent and make myself invisible” he said and I nodded

“Why are you here? What do you want from me?” I asked sitting on my chair.

“I’m here for you. I was sent by the moon goddess to protect you. My name is Ace.” He smirked laying back on the bed and looking at me.

“I don’t believe you” I crossed my arms

“What! Why!” He sat up

“Because I don’t. Seriously you think that’s going to work? A random stranger comes into my room, and says that the moon goddess sent you? Yeah right!”

“Really? You don’t believe me. Okay, I know everything I should know about you. Your name is Mia King, the daughter of the Queen, and the King. You’re 19 years old now, and you have found your mate. All your life you have been bullied, because you’re a human. And at the age of 12 you t-”

“Okay stalker!” I exclaimed not wanting to remember my past.

“Do you beileve me?” He asked and I nodded

“But why are you here? What are you going to protect me from?” I asked

“From evil. The moon goddess told me that evil will be coming back-”

“Wait? Back? I don’t understand” I muttered

“Something is going to happen. I’m not sure what because, the moon goddess didn’t tell me.” He said and I nodded

“You have to stop doing these sudden meetings. Just tell my dad, and he will talk to you” he shook his head

“No. I don’t want to bother your dad. I only have to meet you.” He said and disappeared into thin air.

“And you have to stop doing that as well. It’s freaky” I exclaimed as the door opened and Summer walked in with her eyebrow raised.

“Are you going crazy?” She asked

“Why?”

“Because you’re talking to yourself?”

“Nope.” I said and she nodded walking in and sitting on my bed

“What’s up?” I asked

“Actually don’t an-”

“The ceiling” she smirked and I sighed sitting back down on my chair.

I don’t think I’m going to get out of my room, actually out of this chair

“Is something wrong Summer? You’re very quiet?” I asked

“Adam, well- he marked me?” She moved her top down a little, revealing her shoulder. Her mark looked cool. It was two wolves, both a dark brown colour,and they were standing close to each other, smiling.

“It looks amazing. So what’s wrong then?” I asked confused

“I think our relationship is going too slow. I mean for us, werewolfs, we should have had-”

“Sex by now, and completed the mating? Summer you don’t need to rush. Daniel has even marked me.” I explained

“But you guys are different-shit! Sorry Mia. I didn’t-”

“I know. Look why don’t you go talk to Adam, tell him how you feel” I said and she nodded and stood up

“I’m sorry about what I said. We should go out, today? To a club? It’s called Secret Night, and apparently it’s really good. You up for it?” She asked and I shrugged

“Yeah, but only us two”I said and she nodded and walked out.

The whole day went by really slow.

Imagine having no school or college, and no job? How would you feel sitting at home all day? Bored right? That’s me!

I was dressed in a white dress, which reached me mid thigh. My hair was straightened, and my make up was natural

“You look like a goddess!” Summer exclaimed handing me, clear lipgloss.

“So do you” I smiled looking at her black dress, and applying my lipgloss.

“Thanks” she strapped her wedges on.

“Ready to go?” I asked

“Wait!” She walked to my closet. Walking back out, she turned to me with two coats.

“You know our parents won’t allow this” she handed me a brown trench coat.

“I love you” I smiled wearing it, and tying the belt.

“I know. Let’s go.” She grabbed my hand and we walked out of the room.

I popped my head into the living room to see mom and dad sat on the sofa, with Summer’s parents.

“Mom, me and Summer are going out. We might be home late. Bye” I waved and turned around

“Wait!” I heard mom shout and I froze, along with Summer.

Mom walked out of the living room and towards us.

“Where are you guys going?” She asked crossing her arms.

“To meet Adam. He wants to take me out somewhere” Summer said and mom nodded

“And you?” She looked at me.

“Daniel? Double date?” I questioned

“Where ever you’re going, make sure you get home safely. Summer, look after Mia” mom said and walked back to the living room.

“Look after me? I’m not a baby” I mumbled walking out of the house with Summer.

“You know why she says it Mia” Summer shook her head, starting the car, and driving through the forest.

“That was only once” I exclaimed

“But she’s your mom. Anyway forget that, I kind of called Adam..” she mumbled

“But Sum-”

“I know. But he’s my mate Mia, and he didn’t want me to go alone so-”

“Fine” I muttered laying my head on the seat.

After two hours we reached a club that was Secret Night. It must be a good club because we could hear the music outside and there was a big line outside.

“Let’s go. Adam is waiting inside for us” she said as we took our coats off, and got out of the car.

“Come on Mia” she said walking to the line fast.

I stayed behind as she saw Adam.

“You know your parents won’t allow this?” I heard Ace’s voice behind me. I took a deep breath, pretending that I didn’t get scared.

“Why are you here?” I asked turning to look at him, while walking to the line

“Because I have to protect you” he smirked and I rolled my eyes as I stood next to Summer and Adam.

“I don’t need protecting” I replied back and Summer looked at me.

“Is this about what your mom said? Seriously Mia, your mom is just looking out for you” she shook her head

“Wait what? I’m talking to Ace” I replied pointing to Ace next to me.

“Who? I can’t see anyone” she moved to the front of the line as Adam started talking to the bouncer

“Ace? This guy standing right here?” I pushed Ace forward a little

“Are you acting like a mime? The ones that imagine things?” She smirked as we all walked into the club.

Summer moved closer Adam.

“Are you being serious?”

“Have you been drinking before we’ve even come? Actually, You go ahead and I’ll be back” she shook her head pulling Adam to the dance floor, where they both got lost.

“I hate you Ace” I mumbled and walked away from him to a stool.

“What can I get you miss?” The guy asked smirking at me.

“Be careful. He’s a Vampire” Ace sat down next to me.

“Huh? Oh yeah, can I have coke with vodka, please” I said and he nodded looking around the room before walking off.

“Why would you do that Ace! She thought I was stupid!” I exclaimed turning to him, as he sat down on the stool next to me.

“It was fun”

“Can you just leave?” I asked as the guy came back with my drink and handed me it.

“On the house” he smirked walking away.

“Don’t drink it. Someone knows that you’re princess” Ace stood up

“I don’t believe you anymore” I muttered picking the drink up

“Mia..” he warned as I took a sip from it slowly

“Nothing wrong” I smirked ignoring the little burn I got in my throat.

“Why can’t you just listen to me for once! I’m here to protect you and you’re not even listening!” He shouted

“Why should I listen to you? I don’t even know you! God knows where you came from!” I shouted back and the people around me stared at me.

“Nothing to see here” I mumbled finishing my drink as the guy came back.

“Who you talking to?” He asked handing me another drink

“Is this vodka and coke?” I asked and I nodded as he leaned on the counter

“Mia..” Ace mumbled

“Don’t” I put my hand up at him.

“Just leave me alone okay?” I muttered, while gulping the drink.

“Mia, let’s go home” Ace grabbed my hand and I pushed him away, resulting him not moving out of place.

“You’re drunk already? Lightweight” Ace shook his head as I stood up as walked through the crowd.

“Excuse me” I heard a guy’s voice behind me.

I turned around just to see someone crash their lips on mine. I opened my eyes to see Daniel.

“I’m sorry baby” he mumbled against my lips

“What are you doing here Daniel?” I asked stepping back

“I’m sorry for what I said. I shouldn’t have blamed you, I was just scared that you’ll leave me. I’ve never dated before Mia” he explained holding my hand just as Ace walked towards me.

“Will you just leave me alone?” I muttered

“What?” Daniel asked confused

“Oh not you Daniel.”

“Are you okay Mia?” He asked confused as Ace smirked at me.

“Answer him Mia? Are you okay?” Ace said

“Of course I’m okay. Why can’t anyone see or hear you! I need another drink” I muttered walking away from everyone and back to the counter.

“Just give me vodka please” I muttered and the guy nodded and handed me the drink.

“Thanks” I started drinking. Just then someone grabbed the glass out of my hand and put it on the counter

“Hey!” I exclaimed turning around to see Tyler.

“Don’t!”

“Don’t what? I just want a drink” I mumbled pointing to my drink

“You’re drunk Mia. Where is everyone?”

“There’s rouges here. Super-” Tyler mumbled to himself

“The super! Like superman?” I asked jumping down from the stool.

“Mia, why are you acting like this? I’m taking you home” he grabbed my hand and started pulling me out of the club.

“Leave me alone!” I started hitting him on his arm as we reached outside

“Shush” he exclaimed walking past an alley

“N-” he turned around and covered my mouth with his hand, while leaning down.

“Will you please be quiet Mia? Please?” He whispered staring into my eyes. His eyes,were a blue grey colour.

He removed his hand once he knew I was quiet. He interwined our fingers together and turned around

“Do you like me Tyler?” I asked staring at our hands

“Nope” He chuckled

“Oh”

“Why?” He asked as we walked up the hill

“Nothing”

“Tell me” he ordered quietly

“Because - I don’t know. I just thought you did. I know about your mate rejecting you”

“You have a very bad habit of listening to other people’s conversations Mia” he shook his head

“Can I ask something Tyler?” I mumbled still staring at our hands. It just felt right

“Okay?”

“Were you the midnight Blue wolf in your room?” He stopped walking

“You won’t remember any of this in the morning”

“I’m not drunk Tyler” I muttered

“I kno-” he froze when a few people walked towards us.

“Why are you here?” Tyler turned to them

“We want the girl” a guy with brown hair said

“Did he send you?”

Is Tyler bad? I thought leaving his hand.

“Mia?” He turned to me

“It would be the perfect time for you to show up Ace” I mumbled and he looked at me confused

“What’s wrong?” He walked towards me as I stepped back.

“Are you giving me away?”

“What no!” He exclaimed as the guys behind him stepped forward.

“You’re not?”

“No Mia. I would never give you away” he whispered holding my hand.

“Yes he sent us. Now give us the girl” the guy ordered and Tyler smiled at me

“Never” and the guy shook his head

“Bad choice mate”

“Your gay?” I asked Tyler confused and a little disappointed. I don’t know why

“Why? Does it matter?” He asked and I shook my head

“No, I would just never think that you would. I mean you flirt wit-”

“I don’t flirt with you!” He exclaimed

“Yes you do”

“Don’t”

“Do”

“Stop! Tyler does he know that you like her?” The guy smirked and Tyler turned around

“I don’t like her” he replied

“Doesn’t seem like it. I mean, you’re getting all defensive over her. You wouldn’t do that to your brother would you?” The guy sneered

“He’s not my brother” Tyler muttered punching the guy and he fell to the floor.

“So to press your buttons, all we need is the girl? Perfect. Let’s go guys” the guy stood up and they all ran away.

“Mia, if you ever see those guys, just let me know okay?” He said touching my forehead before I blanked out.
