Epilogue

One year later

“Ethan” Logan groaned, making me turn around to see, he dropped his breakfast again on the floor and happily beamed at his masterpiece in delight.

“Why you monster, like to torture me?” Logan mutters totally irritated by Ethan’s antics, because he does this every time like daily. I decided to step in this time and relieve him from this torturous routine “why don’t you go see Erin? I clean this mess up” with a nod he went to find our oldest and I finally turned towards our youngest and totally the troublemaker, who finally turned one and half, already started to give us grey hairs.

“Ethan” I said, gaining his attention, which looked at me pouting? That cheeky monster “you need to stop this doing every day” I try to reason with him

“no like dada” Ethan muttered still pouting

“You don’t like your breakfast” Jamie exclaimed rather amused “that’s the reason you throw it down every day” Ethan’s only reply was nodding his head vigorously.

“you my darling are something else” Jamie said cleaning the mess up and soon Logan joined them with Erin in his arm who, turned four and finally speaking lot more, it’s like we can’t stop him talking sometimes, he loves to talk and he is very energetic and joyful, and keep his naughty brother in check, or tries to at least.

“and here is our other monster” Logan said dropping Erin in his seat and taking his beside him and serving them both breakfast “well why this monster is still pouting” Logan asked

“Well apparently your son doesn’t like what we serve him as breakfast” I replied, placing the dishes in the sink and rinsing them.

“oh really” Logan said “and why is that”

“yeah why is that Ethan?” I asked my pouting son.

“no like” Ethan repeated his earlier words “yucky”

“It makes you strong,” Erin replied to his brother.

“Still yucky” Ethan muttered “me strong” and huffed dramatically.

“we need to stop sending them to Ryan and Summer, they are making him dramatic” Logan said to me pointedly

“Like that will stop them” I said sitting opposite to them. “Now eat up before they send the pack warriors, to get their Alphas” Logan made a face towards me, sending our kids into a laughing fit. I just rolled my eyes at them, it’s perfectly to say this past year has been the best of my life, and more yet to come.

Later that day we all gathered on pack ground to celebrate the first birthday of my niece, yes you heard me right Joshua and Eva’s daughter finally turned one and we all gathered to celebrate this together like a big joint family, we’re.

“Look Logan” I said pointing towards my niece in my brother’s arms surrounded by her brothers cooing at her, “Look how beautiful she looks”

“Yeah” Logan said absentmindedly

“Logan you are not even paying attention” I whined

“Oh trust me, I’m paying attention” Logan said in my ears, his breathe tingling my neck

“Logan hold your horses” I said and pushing him away from him

“But, why?” Logan whined

“Now you sound like Ethan” I seriously told him “father like son” Logan just smirked at me, shaking my head I moved towards the drinks table and helped myself with lemonade.

“Oh c’mon” Logan said trailing behind me coaxing to have a little tumble somewhere in the house, till our kids were distracted and of course he spoke too soon and is now whisked away by our kids who want their papa to ride with them.

“ah here is our little Jamie” Joshua said along with Roman

“Stop calling me little” I said annoyed

“as if it going to stop him calling you one” Roman piped in “any way where’s the mate of yours, surprisingly he left you all alone”

I just rolled my eyes and my brother’s jab, well technically he is right since the war he is like my own personal bodyguard, never leaves me alone for long, always stays with me and kids, driving us crazy with his over protectiveness, but it is curbing slowly.

“it’s not that bad” I defend him, but the looks my brother gave me says otherwise “ok maybe he is, but you can’t blame him and you Joshua isn’t it’s time to cut the cake, go away” I shooed him away, not before he threw nasty glare at me, such a drama queen he is.

“time has flown by” Roman quietly muttered

“yeah” I agreed “ this already been a year, we got so much”

“yeah” Roman muttered “a whole family, kids and a sister”

“yeah a sister indeed” Jamie agreed with a laugh, Delilah ; she isn’t living with us but, from time to time she pops by, like today to celebrate the birthday of our niece, she is quite the character, reserved but shine with kids doesn’t talk much but, don’t hold back either. We are still discovering about each other on a daily basis.

“it still surreal you know” I quietly said to my brother “all of this, I never imagined to be part of another pack and find my mate and all of this, it’s just overwhelming”

“Yeah I know, I get that sometimes too,” Roman shared. “But, look at the bright side, it’s family, love and someone to go to and more importantly we are together, like a family should.” and pulled me into him by my shoulder. But, our moment is short lived when we were dragged by our kids, to join them in their fun.

Now I get it, what bond is about? Family, kids and your special someone; to whom you can fall and they will catch you no matter what, no need to be scared of this new feeling embraced with an open heart, it will do wonders we never knew.

“Bond is stronger and thicker than blood, no one can rip us apart. Moon has bestowed its magical knot.”
