Adam

It’s been months since her death and saying goodbye to her was heart wrenching. Whoever said goodbye makes it easier, forget to mention it hurts every time the same when you have the living reminder of one of your friends, her son, now mine, ours.

I still can’t believe that Logan just fit into the role of the father like that, though we were taking this slow and we haven’t even told our families about it, but I think they have some suspicions about it because from being enemies we went straight to best friends.

Logan now spends most of the time with me and the boys and both are delighted to play with him, he’s been an incredible support, and Erin we thought it will be difficult for him to stay with me, you know adjusting to totally different environment but, surprisingly he was ok, occasional fussiness but, he’s just a kid so it’s expected from him, and to say he adore Ethan and riley will be an understatement, they play together and sometimes fall asleep together too, they are shipping brotherhood all the way.

I right now we’re are out on family bonding time and only bonding is happening with the babies who are playing with the Jeremy , Summer and Ryan who occasionally playing peek boo with them and the ladies who insisted sleeping soundly while taking the sun bath, while I’m dwelling on my thoughts while the others are there having fun, it’s sucks to be me sometimes.

I stood up from my sitting position and moved a little to see if any intruder was there but I felt no such thing but, it’s good to be safe than sorry. This past month has been difficult and I think both our families are now suspicious of the closeness between me and Logan, and they have every right to be so, because from being enemies we straight went to best friends, but both he and I know it’s more than that.

We are mates for life and for moon goddess sake we adopted the two kids, like literally he was on the board with this, and I’m pretty sure that anyone was on Logan place would run the hills with adopting two kids before they even know each other, but we are getting to know each other this past month quiet well. Logan is just someone I need, I guess he makes me whole, content, happy and I might come to think I was damn downright stupid to ignore our bond for so long, but not now I want him so bad, to live with him on the regular basis, he’s been giving me hints here and there, and that he’s so patient with both the boys and the love he shows with them make me fall for him more and more each moment I spent with him, and the urge to mark him as mine is getting stronger too, I know that he feels that too, the attraction is to die for, oh god I sound so sappy, I blame it all on the mate bond.

“hey daydreamer” said Emma who is now standing beside me pulling me from my sappy world.

“finally awake sleepy head” I say “so what’s’ up”

“shouldn’t I be asking you that?” said Emma with raised eyebrow

“Well you and certain alp-” before Emma could complete her sentence I heard the voices of several paws coming towards us before I could indicate to them they all were gathering themselves fazed in their wolf forms all my concern is now to take back the kinds to safe place without getting hurt.

“Emma” I said who is still beside me in her human form worried “you need to get out of here before they reach here with the kids, I need you to cover them with your shield and tell Jeremy to do the same, so they can’t reach you, ok” and pushed her where all the others were their Ethan was strapped on Jeremy chest and Erin was to Ryan chest, and Riley to Eva’s, and I can see Jeremy already working on his shield, he knows with our first experience in the woods “go Emma” I pushed her and before I or her could say more she nodded changed into her massive wolf and took the charge to protect them and lead them out of harm’s way. When I was sure they were few miles away from here and before I could change into my wolf, one of the rouge charged upon me from the back locked his jaw around my shoulder but, soon enough he was on ground I was standing on all fours , and now all his companions are around him circling me, growling to intimidate me, as if I’m some average wolf they can easily scare off, with my own much vicious growl I was on top of that brown wolf who bit into my shoulder , which by the way still bleeding from the bite, I easily cut his air supply , I moved quickly and swiftly , they can’t even process before I have them all in the ground in front of me I’m still growling towards their lifeless bodies, I want more blood, it’s been second time that they came in my territory, and try to harm my family and people and it’s look like it’s time to finally come clean to my dear mate about me and the men evading his territory, our territory.

And then I smell him, I smell my mate and without much thinking and totally ignoring that his warriors and my brother had accompanied him too, my eyes were zoomed on him only, when I reached him, just on instincts I licked his cheek nuzzled his face and neck, rubbed my body on his face, not even caring that I might give away to my brother to his warriors that we are mates, all I saw was him, all I care right now was him, I even ignore the waves of anger coming from Logan, I side stepped his displeased eyes that are now boring into mine and he stepped away from me and said “into my office now”

Right now I’m in Logan’s office all stitched up from the bite of the wolf and very pissed off Logan sitting in his chair, and there is no one except us in his office but, they all are present in the other room just down the hall. Apparently when Emma ran with all of them they first mind link them, like I can’t handle myself with some pups, well I think I’m in trouble, but what I don’t know why I’m the one in trouble, I mean no one was harmed the only person was harmed in this was me, and with that to a little bite, which is already healing. Not liking the silence anymore I finally gave up “are you going to stare at me all time, or are you going to say something?”

Logan arched an eyebrow at me questioningly and finally said “are you really asking me that?” he questioned me back, when I tried to say something back to him he held up his hand to shut me up, ok then I thought.

“you have any idea how pissed I’m at you right now, and the way you risked your life like that and that too kids life too, I told everybody in pack they are not allowed to go into woods, with all the rouges being seen, but you went ahead and disrespected my orders like, it’s nobody’s business, why is that Adam” Logan lashed out on me and the way he said my name I winced.

“ok I get it that you are pissed about us going into the woods, but it was not my idea in first place I was dragged into this, and if you think the slightest bit that I purposely dragged our kids into this you are highly mistaken Logan, I wouldn’t do that and you know it, and if it’s not me or if I haven’t sensed them before they arrived to us , you think I would be able to defend myself or the others when I was all thinking about our kids, no Logan” when I was finished which supposed to be claiming talk from my side, changed into a fight in no second “and if you still think that it was all my fault, and defying your orders made you look bad Alpha , then sorry to say I’m not following your lead into this” with that I stood and went out of his office I can sense him following me down the hall and I can sense his anger too.

“That’s how you think of me Adam, I was scared half to death when I saw all of them running into the pack lands like that, all I want to see you safe and sound by my side, is that too much to ask from you from, my mate. Look right now you are injured , I get it that you can defend yourself , but do you happen to care a little bit that what will happen if you throw yourself into such situations again and again, I’m your mate and your Alpha , stop for one second and look into my perspective too, that how it makes me look in front of pack that my own mate defy me like that” Logan keep on saying and lashing out on me and soon we were in the room filled with our family and his pack important people and it’s safe to say that they heard what were are talking about, well screaming and I mean it’s no secret now that we are mates, which I ignore all the heated gazes and took Ethan out of Eva hands and he instantly latched to me and the also picked Erin who was sipping water from his Sippy cup and picked their back which all the wolfs carried from the clearing earlier, and before I can move further I hear Logan voice “where you think you going Adam, we haven’t finished yet”

Not Turning back to look at him I opened the front door and said

“yes we are"
