A calculating glint flashed in Tracy’s eyes. Just as she was about to lean back and break the railing to fall into the artificial lake, she suddenly saw William striding over from the corner of her eye. 

She immediately pulled Vanessa’s hand, then shouted loudly. She then leaned back and deliberately lost her balance. 

This way, William would see Vanessa push her. 

The wooden railing behind her was knocked down by Tracy.

Everyone went to the building where the main branch of the Hawk family lived.

Madison Hawk came in. 

Yvonne immediately called out, “Mom” 

“Yes?” Madison smiled gently and dotingly. “Your brother and sister–in–law aren’t here yet?” 

“I don’t know.” Yvonne pouted. 

She really wanted to tell her mother now that Vanessa was a scheming woman.

Just then. William came in holding Vanessa’s hand. 

Madison was all smiles. “Vanessa, come quickly. Sit here, right next to me.” 

Today, all the important family members were here. She had to let everyone know that she valued her daughter–in–law. 

People were like that. If you valued someone, others wouldn’t dare to look down on that person. 

“Alright.” Vanessa replied. 

Yvonne quietly turned sideways, not wanting to talk to Vanessa. 

Vanessa glanced at Yvonne. Seeing that Yvonne was not looking at her at all, she felt a little upset. 

She pursed her lips. She knew that it would be futile to explain such a misunderstanding as they still did not know each 

other too well.

Vanessa walked over and sat down beside her mother–in–law. 

William also sat down beside her. 

Barron came over with Tracy in his embrace. He was all smiles as he said, “Everyone is here today. I have a happy announcement to make.”
