The man immediately lost his temper, pressing the tip of his knife against her throat. "I've given you face!"

The young man quickly intervened, "Calm down, Boss! It's not right for us to act like this when the other party hasn't said anything."

Dexter's face was taut, an image of her unexpectedly obedient behavior surfacing in his mind. I should have known. How could she have agreed to go abroad so easily? So, she was waiting here all along! A flicker of panic flashed in his eyes. As long as she was safe, everything else was insignificant. His only fear was her encountering danger...
