Laura was taken aback by her determination, momentarily speechless. Josie was the first to break the silence, asking with a smile, "Are you content with your current situation?"

Laura glanced unconsciously at Zach, who was smoking outside. "Well, at the very least, it's fulfilling."

"That's good. I hope the Olsen family can provide you with a sense of fulfillment instead of self-denial." Josie propped her head up. "I'm happy for you, as it seems you're no longer held back by Zach." Laura didn't argue, as it was the truth.

"Back then, I was deeply grateful to you for saving me."

When Josie heard that, mixed emotions stirred within her, and for a moment, she was unsure how to reveal the truth to Laura.

Since Zach wasn't Mark's biological child, it was foreseeable that most of the family's future assets wouldn't be handed over to Laura.

"If you're enjoying your life now, Laura, continue on that path. Don't become too consumed by winning. Live in the present and don't push yourself too hard."

Laura didn't understand. "Why are you suddenly saying all this?"

Josie didn't know how to explain, so she simply said, "I'm leaving."

"Where are you going?"

"Leaving Wavery."

"Moving to another city?" Laura's eyes widened in surprise.

"Most likely going abroad, but the final destination hasn't been decided yet."

Laura felt puzzled but finally understood why Josie had sought her out. "But-"

"Laura," Josie interrupted, taking an envelope out of her bag and handing it over. "After I leave, please take care of Mark and Claudia. I'm not a good daughter in the traditional sense, unable to let go of the past. Please give this letter to Claudia for me."

Laura glanced down at the cowhide envelope on the table. "Me?"

"Yes. You're the only one I trust."

Laura was caught off guard, a pang of sorrow hitting her. "How long will you be gone?"

"It could be a year or maybe two years. Or I might never return."

If Josie couldn't find Paul, she was willing to sacrifice her own life to repay Justin.

Never?

Laura stood still, holding the envelope in her hand, captivated by the word "never." In that moment, she had forgotten that Josie was her friend.

Seeing Laura frozen in place, Josie stood up. She bowed slightly, a gesture of complete trust. "Thank you." Then, she walked out of the cafe.

Witnessing this, Zach raised an eyebrow in disbelief. He had initially wanted to start an argument, but seeing Josie's fearless and unbeatable aura, he hesitated for a moment.

Just as Josie reached the road, a black Bentley slowly came to a stop in front of her. The car window rolled down, revealing Morgan's expressionless face. It was rare for him to look so serious. He glanced at her sideways. "Get in the car."

From the corner of his eye, he saw Laura walking out of the cafe. She happened to witness the scene, causing her steps to falter, and she instinctively put the envelope she was holding into her bag. Morgan gave her a deep, lingering look.

Josie let out an almost inaudible sigh but ultimately got into the car. Ryan drove at a breakneck speed.

"Do you need something?"

"Josie, don't assume that I will always indulge you and allow you to act recklessly." Morgan's expression was stern, his tone equally cold.

She looked at him intently. "I don't understand."

"What is this?" Morgan threw a plane ticket at her. "You're leaving the country?"

Josie nodded, seeing nothing wrong with it. "Is there a problem with that?"

"I remember your original plan was to settle down in Rivodia! Why are you going abroad?" Morgan's eyes practically blazed with anger.

Josie paused for a moment, then slowly said, "You seem to know my schedule quite well."

Morgan's anger subsided, replaced instead by irritation.

"I'm just worried about you."
