~I don’t do these before a chapter, but I need y’all to know that you’re not going to get much out of this chapter; sorry about the misleading title. I named this and the upcoming ones a long time ago (about a year or two ago if I’m not mistaken *it’s June 28th rn*) soooooo

You’re not getting any smut. Which is funny because I’m listening to Bedroom Hymns by Florence & The Machine right now. So, I’ll still try. I just can’t write smut for shit. Sorry.~

~Update #2: (July 2nd) Hurricane Elsa just passed through, hitting my and my friend’s home countries directly. I’ll split this chapter into two, and continue working on the other chapters

~Update #3: (July 4th) Hi I’ve been busy editing. Splitting some chapters in two to make the story have more chapters XD. Plus one or two additions. I lost contact with my friend for almost two days, but she’s safe and with Wi-Fi. So hopefully part 2 of this chapter will be delivered, then the rest of the story :)

It’s 8:44PM right now. I’ll try to finish up and post chapters by tomorrow.

It was late. It was damn late.

Aiko had exhausted herself with her pity party, and now she and Zev were snuggled up together under a canopy of trees, looking up at the stars in blissful silence. She wasn’t particularly paying attention when he lifted her up and carried her away from the body of water they were initially sitting next to.

She was sure Lupe was unconscious; more exhausted than she was with the emotional turmoil she’s been through for today and the past three weeks. Having your wolf out without shedding skin is also pretty taxing on the human, and Aiko has been out for a good couple of hours now.

‘I’ll make it up to you, Lupe.’ Aiko thought, sighing softly. “Are you still awake, angel?” Zev whispered, and Aiko shuddered against the shiver that slid down her spine. “Yes.” she whispered back, and another shiver shimmied down her spin as Zev took her hand, intertwining their fingers and kissing the back of her hand.

“I thought you had fallen asleep. I was just about to carry you back home.” Zev huffed as he sat up, pulling Aiko along with him. “My human is starting to nag me.” Aiko chuckled. “I think my human is asleep.”

Zev hummed. “She must be so exhausted. Mia povera bambina.” He caressed her cheek, and Aiko purred, leaning into his hand. Their eyes met, and a sudden flame lit inside her. Her mate inhaled deeply and blinked, turning away from her.

“I should get you home.” Zev said quietly, and Aiko shook her head, pulling herself closer to him. “No. I want to stay out here with you.” She said slowly, almost unsure of her own words. Zev looked at her in concern. “Are you sure, angel?”

Aiko nodded, and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. Automatically, Zev pulled her into his lap, lovingly running his hand down her side.

They fell back into peaceful silence. Aiko had her face in the crook of her mate’s neck, inhaling his scent in an attempt to wipe out the memory of that disgusting human, no, monster, that hurt her human.

‘He’s gone now. He’s gone, and she’s safe-- we’re safe. I’ll get stronger, so I can protect her myself.’ She kept reminding herself with each lung-full of her mate’s scent.

She heard a low groan, and stifled a snicker as her human regained consciousness. “Why are you horny woman? I was asleep.”

“Well, hello to you too Lupe. Did you have a nice nap?” Her human groaned again, and Aiko couldn’t stop the amused huff. “You didn’t answer my question. I thought you were having a cry session. Did he start rubbing the booty or something?”

Aiko couldn’t answer her human, because she broke into a fit of giggles. Aiko bit her lip, trying to keep herself from laughing, but when her human let out a snort, there was no containing the laugh the bubbled from her throat.

Zev pulled away to look at her, worried that she was going to have something of a psychotic break, but his worries went away the moment his eyes met hers. They were bright and mirthful, and almost like they were glowing. And he found himself smiling.

“My human is awake.” Aiko explained, and Zev chuckled and nodded. Aiko returned her attention to Guadalupe. “Goddess, I wish he did. I wish he would.”

Her human composed herself. “Aiko, I hate to tell you this but, a penis will not solve all your problems.” Aiko rolled her eyes, shaking her head at the words.

“Of course a penis won’t solve all my problems. A penis is the cause of my problems right now. But my mate’s dick, most definitely will cure all ails. It’s science. It’s been proven. Ask any she-wolf, and they will tell you.” Aiko said confidently, causing her human to break into another fit of giggles.

“Aiko, no.” She said in between giggles, and Aiko nodded suggestively. “Aiko, yes. I’m right. You know I’m right, deep down.”

“Right about what, angel?” Zev asked, and Aiko momentarily froze, cursing herself for her slip-up. She looked her mate in the eye and smiled. “Oh, I’m just having a little argument with my human.”

“About what?” Zev probed, amused and happy that his mate was coming around. “Oh,” she glanced away for a moment, picking a lock of her curls and twirling it around her finger, “just whether or not I should jump you.” She met his eyes again, blinked innocently and added a coy smile for effect.

He looked taken aback, and she cackled evilly in her head. Her human joined her, but for a different reason. “He looked like that meme!” Aiko didn’t bother asking for an explanation; she was on a mission.

Her mate looked like he was backed into a corner, but he had all is territory behind him. “What’s wrong?” Aiko asked, using her human’s soft voice to her advantage.

Zev exhaled. “It’s a bit of a drastic change from you.” He licked his lips, and Aiko tilted her head, closely following his movements.

“Is it? I mean, maybe. But I think I’m over it, because I thought, ‘Well I know that that sorry excuse of a human doesn’t know how to treat a woman right. But my mate most definitely does’. And I started thinking about that night I was in heat and...”

Aiko trailed off, biting her lip before turning away to give her attention to the blades of grass at her side. “Oh, you are good.” Guadalupe said in amazement, and Aiko suppressed a smile. “The best, Lupe.”

Zev struggled to speak, and quickly gave up and gave in to laughter. “Did I say something funny?” Aiko asked, using Guadalupe’s soft voice again, and Zev shook his head, using one hand to push his hair back. He leaned back on his hands, bringing the two of them down to an angle.

He composed himself and said, “Here I was, trying to be a gentleman and allowing my lady to grieve, but she was one step ahead of me.”

Aiko bit her lip, already giddy with excitement. She shifted to plant her knees on either side of him and parked her ass right on his lap, pushing her chest against his. Her hair was down around her shoulders, and the curly mass blanketed the remaining light around them. “Lupe, girl, I am so happy you’re this curvy because I am going to make this man weak.”

Guadalupe laughed. It was all she could do, because nothing was going to stop Aiko, and she very well knew that. “Make him kneel!” she cheered, and Aiko smirked. “Oh, he’s going to do more than that.”

“Grieve what? Innocence lost?” She huffed, whipping her hair to the side and leaning in closer, brushing their lips together. Zev inhaled deeply and swallowed. “I’d like to think that it doesn’t count if I don’t want it to. And I don’t want that human to count. Neither does Lupe.”

She leaned away, making him think she was going to detach herself, but she came back in, shifting to make sure that her pussy was right on top his crotch; she silently thanked her human for choosing to wear a dress.

“What I want you to do is pin me down on this grass and stake your claim, for real. So that no man, no matter what species he is, will dare try to take me.” She brushed her lips against his again, moaning lowly as she felt his hands start to wander. “Can you do that for me, daddy?”

When his hands tightened around her hips, she knew that that was the final straw, and she gave herself a mental pat on the back. “Why do I feel like I’m about to have my shit rocked?” Guadalupe asked warily, and Aiko chuckled darkly.

“Hold on tight little human; it’s about to get rough.”

Zev’s chest rumbled under her palms. “One more time for me, angel.” His voice was thick, and Aiko couldn’t stop the little smile that bloomed. She ran her lips across his face, sliding her hands up to grip the nape of his neck as she reached his ear.

“Daddy,” she whispered, and his chest rumbled again, “can you please tell those guards to look the other way and make me yours?” She felt his breath hitch when her tongue snaked out and traced the shell of his ear. “Pretty please?”

His breathing was heavy, but he was otherwise silent. Aiko raised her head to look at him, meeting his golden glazed eyes. “You holding on tight, Lupe?” Her human whimpered. “Yup.”

His eyes cleared up and one hand roughly grabbed grabbed an ass cheek, eliminating any space between them. She wasn't even sure when his hand slipped under the dress; his touch was an inferno against the thin material of her underwear, and she wanted nothing more than for him to rip it off and have his way with her.

His other hand was on the nape of her neck, pulling her face to his. Just before their lips connected, he stopped.

“The next words that you say to me are very, very important angel.” Aiko exhaled shakily, shifting slightly as she felt herself get wet. His eyes darkened, and she dampened even more. “Tell me, what do you want? For me to pin you down right here and make you mine? I want you to be specific.”

It was her to be speechless. “Sp-specific?” His thumb brushed across her bottom lip, sending a flurry of sparks through her system. “I just want to know what you like before I do anything.”

Aiko shook her head. “I want anything as long as it’s with you.” Zev chuckled darkly, and her heart pitter-pattered in her chest. “I have a lot of freaky shit thinking about, bambina.” Aiko huffed a laugh. “I don’t think you want to know what I think about on a regular basis.”

Zev smiled. “I have my answer then.” Before she could react, the air was rushing around her, raising goosebumps as it was cold against her back. It wasn’t even five minutes before he came to a stop and set her on her feet.

She turned around, facing a cave entrance. “Is this another one of your secret spots?” His hand laid gently on her lower back. “It is. One of the first places I found when I started exploring. I knew for sure that this would be where I mate you.” Zev glanced down at his mate, lowering slightly to kiss the side of her face.

Aiko’s tongue poked her cheek. “In a cave?” She asked, trying not to let disappointment get the best of her. Zev huffed. “Well, as a gentleman, I spent my time sprucing up the place for when I finally found my mate. As sad as I was that I didn’t have you for so long, I’m glad that I had so much time to prepare.”

His hand glided up and back down her back, settling lower than it previously was. “I always thought the world of my mate, but finally having you makes me proud that I put so much effort into this place.” With a gentle nudge forward, Zev guided Aiko into the cave.

At first it was smooth stone beneath their feet, but it gave way to soft moss. The walls were inlaid with clear, colorful stones and it mimicked a clear night sky. Aiko walked ahead and raised her hand to the surface, brushing her fingers against the stones. “Are these simply colorful stones, or are they-” “Actual gemstones.” Zev cut her off, and she glanced back at him in amazement.

Her mate simply shrugged. “It was like this when I found it. This, however, was my work.” He pointed to the ceiling, and a soft gasp escaped her. A true imitation for the night sky, the ceiling was a scattering of stones, perfectly laid out. She could make out the Big Dipper, Ursa Major, and Orion.

“Are those glow in the dark stickers?” Aiko asked incredulously, and Zev huffed. “My human is an idiot.” He said the words gently, which brought a smile to Aiko’s face. “He’s my idiot.” She heard her human say dreamily.

“It must have been a lot of work doing this.” Her mate drew closer, encompassing her in his warmth. “It was, but my desire to make you see stars pushed me forward to complete it.” Heat flooded her cheeks and her mouth dropped open, his simple words rendering her speechless.

Zev smiled victoriously, and swooped down to cover her neck with open-mouthed kisses. “Aiko send me back; I wanna suck his dick.”

“Wait your turn, human.”
