I took a small sip of my coffee and looked out at the beautiful atmosphere. My mind was telling me that this is a bad idea and not to get too deep into this, but my heart was yearning to know what made beta Alan absolutely detest the idea of having a mate. “I heard that beta Alan has a mate, but I never saw her around. Where is our beta female?” I asked her with a curious voice. Mrs.Earnshaw gave me a soft smile and intertwined her fingers on the table.

“She left the pack a long while back.” Mrs. Earnshaw said, and we were surrounded by an air filled with suspense, a lot of mysteries were floating around me, waiting to be answered. “There is a saying that if your first mate leaves you, you should be happy because the moon goddess would bless you with a better partner, but everyone in the pack is waiting for the day when that would happen in beta Alan’s life and make him come out from his tormented self.”

“Um, is Alpha Vanguard still in the pack house?” I asked him nervously, and he shook his head, and this made an instant smile appear on my smile.

“He has gone back to the main pack with Alpha Blaze, claiming that they had a few business meetings to be taken care of,” Noah informed me, and I promptly took a hold of Noah’s hand and

dragged him with me to the dining area. After a long time, I can eat my meals in peace again.

When we entered the dining room, it was partially crowded, and there were a lot of chairs left unoccupied, Noah and I made our way there. Beta Alan was nowhere to be seen, and it was like Christmas came early for me, when two of the most dangerous people are not with us today. After filling my plate with mashed potatoes and gravy and one baked chicken, I began to eat.

“Where are all the other warriors?” I asked Noah after a while, and he stopped eating and stared at me as if I had knocked my head somewhere.

“Don’t you know?” he asked with a raised eyebrow, I shook my head.

“It’s the full moon today, and most of the warriors have their mates in the main pack, so that is where everyone went,” he said causally and continued eating while the fork from my hand slipped from my fingers.

“But, I don’t think you will have to worry about anything since I heard Alpha Vanguard and you have already mated.”

I pushed my plate away from me and got up from my place, which grabbed Noah’s attention. “Where are you going without finishing your food?”

“I, uh, I am not hungry. I will be in my room.” I said, and Noah gave me a puzzled look. I only took two steps away from the table, when I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen, which grabbed the attention of all the wolves that were present in the room. I heard a chair scrape, and I looked back to see Noah taking predatory steps toward me, his iris was rapidly changing color.

“Sa. Sarah, leave!” he mumbled forcefully. My eyes were wide, and I didn’t know what to do. Most of the wolves ran out of the room, and now, only three more were left, including Noah. Noah lost the battle with his wolf, and he took quick steps and engulfed me in an intimate hug.

“No…Noah, let me go!” I yelled and tried to push him away, but it was like trying to move a huge rock. He forcefully kissed me while his hands moved under my top.

“Everyone, out of the room now!” a strong command was heard from the door, which made all the warriors turn around. Beta Alan was standing there, his entire body trembling, while his face was contorted in pain.
