Chapter 213

Jerome’s voice regained a hint of coldness. “I had another swimsuit sent over. Do you want to open the door to take it, or should I leave it by the door?”

Mikayla replied, “Leave it by the door. You can go now!”

Jerome’s footsteps paused. “I’ll wait for you in the corridor.”

After saying that, he put down the bag, and soon she heard the door closing from outside the bathroom.

Mikayla breathed a sigh of relief.

She patted her flushed cheeks and put on the new swimsuit.

This time, the style was more conservative.

No shoulders were exposed. The skirt was reaching halfway down her legs. She felt much more comfortable wearing it.

Mikayla still wrapped herself in a towel before opening the door with her phone in hand.

Sure enough, Jerome was waiting for her in the corridor,

When he saw her coming out, his eyes lingered on her for a while.

Upon seeing her slender legs, his lips moved slightly, but he didn’t say anything in the end.

“Let’s go. Ms. Reign and the others are at the hot spring,” Jerome said.

Mikayla still felt a little awkward. “I can go by myself. There’s no need for you to accompany me.”

Jerome replied, “I’ve booked this entire place today. Most of the people here today are from the Miller

Group. I can’t ignore you as my wife.”

So he cared about her now? It was very “kind” of him.

Jerome seemed to sense what she was thinking and said ambiguously, “It was my fault for

last time. I’m making up for it now.”

Mikayla kept quiet.

His tone and demeanor made it seem as if they hadn’t fought at Miller Villa yesterday.

She didn’t care about what he thought. It was only a few days anyway, she could endure it.

As expected, there were many people from the Miller Group in this resort. On the way to the hot spring, Mikayla encountered several groups of the staff.

When they saw her and Jerome, they politely greeted, “Mr. Miller, Mrs. Miller.”

Many women were jealous of her.

In terms of appearance alone, Jerome was indeed incomparable. He came from a good family, had

good bodily figure, and was handsome.

It was just his personality that was rotten.

They arrived at the hot spring just as her mind was preoccupied with all sorts of thoughts.

There were various types of pools here. Just ahead, there was a dining area, wet and dry sauna areas, and a large swimming pool as well.

From a distance, she saw Celeste and the others eating snacks from the dining area..

Mikayla hurriedly walked toward them, but she wasn’t paying attention to her step. She stumbled and nearly fell down.

“Watch out!” Jerome’s quick reflexes saved her from falling.

He grabbed her and tugged her back.

Mikayla’s towel was loosen, and she fell into Jerome’s arms. His breath caught in his throat as her body pressed against him.

The urge that he was trying so hard to suppress earlier came back instantly.

Jerome held Mikayla tightly. Her waist was as soft and delicate as he had imagined.

“What are you doing? Let go of me,” Mikayla whispered and struggled quietly.

“Why can’t you walk slower and watch where you’re going?” Jerome reprimanded, but he never loosen his

arms.

“A lot of people are watching us. Let go of me,” Mikayla retorted annoyedly.

They were standing at the highest point of the hot spring. Everyone could easily see them if they looked

Jerome must be crazy to embrace her so intimately in public.

Jerome heard her complaints but still didn’t let go of her.

He continued to hold her in his arms and whispered hoarsely in her ear, “Don’t move. I’ll

Hearing this, Mikayla’s body stiffened.
