Upon hearing Jerome’s words, Mikayla felt speechless. 

Why was he nitpicking about such trivial matters? Did he injure his brain instead of 

his lower back? 

Mikayla didn’t want to deal with his silly questions, so she went into the ward. 

Jerome realized he had overreacted. 

Why was he hung up for so long over Mikayla’s casual remark? 

He attributed it to not resting well last night. 

In the ward, Celeste and Connor were chatting. 

When Mikayla entered, the two were exchanging Whatsapp contacts. 

“Done with the check–up?” 

As soon as Celeste saw Mikayla, she quickly dragged her into the washroom and 

locked the door. 

“What are you trying to do?” Mikayla asked. 

Celeste suppressed her excitement and lowered her voice. “I heard from Connor that you bit Jerome’s lips?” 

Mikayla had almost forgotten about it if Celeste hadn’t mentioned it. 

Jerome’s lips were already looking much better today. 

Connor was really observant to notice these tiny details.

“Actually, I already noticed/last night that something was wrong with his lips, but I didn’t have time to think about it. Connor also had the same doubts. He was able to probe out an answer last night.” 

Celeste continued, “Mikayla, Jerome left a hickey on the back of your neck, and you bit his lips. It seems like it was quite a heated battle between you two.”

“Did you tell Connor about the red mark on my neck?”

Celeste said firmly. 

“You’ve only known each other for a few hours, and you’ve already shared so much?”

After completing the hospital discharge procedures, Celeste left because she had 

work in the afternoon. 

“Ms. Reign, let me send you to your workplace. It’s on the way to where I’m going.” 

Connor volunteered.. 

“There’s no need. I’ll just take the cab.” Celeste refused. 

Connor held his forehead. 

He acted pitiful and said, “I see you’re quite skilled at handling injuries. The injury on 

my forehead still hurts a lot, so I was hoping you could teach me how to take care of 

it if it isn’t too much trouble.” 

Celeste readily agreed this time. 

“There’s no trouble at all. Let us talk in the car.” 

Watching Connor open the door for Celeste attentively, then hurriedly take the
