“Now, if you would all proceed to the banquet hall, we have a little celebration for all the scholarship students we had in this batch and their families to celebrate their time, dedication and hard work,” Dad said loud enough for everyone to hear. 

Not wanting to delay their former king’s command, everyone piled out of the auditorium towards the celebration, with dad and mom leading everyone out. He nodded in our direction and smiled before disappearing through the door. He had done this for us so that we could talk to our mate. You’ve got to love parents as annoying and bearing they can sometimes be. Before we could go ahead and stop our little Kiara from going with Rex and Jacob, she said something to them, and they both left while Kiara turned around and walked in our direction. We covered the rest of the distance, crouched down to our adorable little mate’s height, and gave her a small smile. 

“Congraulations Kiki! You did it! All those years of hard work finally paid off.” Said Kayden as he patted her head. 

Kiara smiled at him and nodded her head. 

“Thank you, King Kayden.” She said. 

“Congratulations, Kiki! Or should we call you scholar Kiara Middleton now?” I said, laughing and patting her head as well. 

The sweet sound of her giggles rang around us, making our cold hearts.

“Hmm, that does sound nice, King Jayden but not yet. Once I’ve done my training when I turn eighteen, then you can call me that.” Said, Kiara 

Her eyes shined at the prospect of being called scholar Kiara. Oh, little one, you’ll be called more than scholar once you turn eighteen. 

“By the way, Kiara, me and Jayden would like to apologize for yesterday. We are really sorry for whatever we said yesterday. We meant nothing in what we said and whatever we said was out of line and wrong of us. We were extremely exhausted from work and unforuntantly took it out on you and Rex.” Said Kayden 

“And that may not be an excuse, but we just want you to know we’re sorry,” I said. 

Kayden and I stared at our mate, who had no idea she was our mate and world with bathed breaths. 

“It’s okay! I forgive you! Just please don’t even say anything like that again. You both were my friends when I came here, and I don’t want to ruin that.” Said our loving mate. 

Both me and Kayden nodded our heads excitedly and squeezed her in a gentle hug that had her giggle. Her touch had sparks going all over our bodies, but we let go and stood up. Our time would come; we just needed to be patient. 

We all walked towards the celebration hall side by side with our little Kiara. We had a pass today; she was the winner of the kingdom’s

scholarship program, seeing the kings interact with the winner wouldn’t seem odd. 

“So what’s your plan now, Kiki? Now that you’re done, will you be going back to Crescent Haven” Asked Kayden 

We knew she was trying out for the warrior scholarship tomorrow, but we didn’t want her to know that we were aware and were anxious as f*ck wheater or not she would make it through the trails. Otherwise, we needed to think of a way to get her to stay and fast. 

“Um, well! As much as I want to go back and spend time with my family, I’ve applied for the warrior’s scholarship, and the trials are tomorrow.” Said, Kiara 

“Oh wow! We never knew you were a fighter too.” I said, acting as if I didn’t know how mad crazy her fighting skills were. 

She had come from a strong line of alpha parents. Being powerful and strong was in her blood. 

“Yeah! JJ already got accepted, and so did Rex, so I wanted to do this. with them plus, I think it’s good to know how to fight. Not everything is about books and facts.” Said Kiara, giggling. 

“That’s amazing, Kiki! We’ll come and watch.” Said Kayden 

“Really! Goddess! Thank you! You and king Jayden are like my lucky charms. Whenever I know you both are around, I feel like I can conquer anything.” Said Kiara just as we reached the celebration hall 

Just as we were about to say something, Rex and Jacob had called out to her, squealing a quick bye to us and tunning in their direction. 

We looked at our adorable mate hurdle through the crowd. The happiness that shone brightly in her eyes as people congratulated her and told her how proud she had of her family and pack was something me and Kayden wished to keep in her eyes forever.
