I couldn’t help but steal glances at our little mate in her adorable light blue shimmery dress as we talked to her father and brothers. Her blonde hair was tied into a low bun, and she had a rhinestone choker and hairband on; she looked like the queen she was meant to be, but at the same time, a pup that was happy with life, carefree, laughing and gouging her mouth full of dessert from the dessert table. I was broken out of the admiration bubble of my little mate when I heard her scream a ‘no, my head shooting directly in the direction along with Jayden’s head to see if she was okay. Thankfully she was; it seemed like all of them disagreed on something. My father called Emily, Rex’s babysitter, to call the kids here so they could tell our little mate the amazing news. Emily bowed and went to leave but not before looking at Kayden and me seductively. I blatantly ignored her, and so did Jayden. Emily had been one of Jayden’s bed warmers; I doubt mom and dad knew otherwise she wouldn’t be let close to Rex.
