er Twelve: Party Part One

Kiara, at age nine

Kiara POV:

“Remember to behave yourself at the welcome dinner, princess. You need to show everyone what a good girl you are.” Daddy said to me.

just frowned at him; I was always a good girl and never did anything to embarrass them or my brothers. I huffed, crossed my arms over my chest, and glared at daddy.

“I’m always a good girl, daddy; you know that,” I said.

Everyone chuckled around us, and daddy patted my head, saying he knew but wanted to remind me to be on my best behaviour. He didn’t need to remind me because I was already planning to, I was friends with the future kings, and if I did anything embarrassing at the party, I wouldn’t get my tour then,

plus they wouldn’t want to be my friends anymore, maybe Rex wouldn’t even want to be my friend then, which I didn’t want. It was nice to have some friends other than JJ finally.

When prince Kayden and prince Jayden left us in the backyard, Phoneix had come to find me to get dressed, and I told him all about me meeting the princes and how we were all friends now. He didn’t believe me at first, which made me mad because I didn’t lie, well, maybe I did, but only when I needed to help someone. So, I asked JJ to tell him, and he then believed me. I even told mommy, daddy, Kelix and Helix; they were shocked at first, but then they said they were happy that I made new friends, but I did leave the part out where I went into the woods. That would definitely get mad and then ground me since no one let me wander out alone, and I didn’t want to be grounded when there was a party where I could get a chance to talk more with my new friends and then later get a tour of the castle.

I even asked mom to make sure she asked auntie Beth to dress me like a princess so that I would look like cinderella. I was going to a party where there would be so much royalty I needed to look the part. When all of us were ready and about to head out, mommy and daddy called out to me.

“Sweetheart, many people will be at the party, very important people. We know your friends with the future kings, and we are very happy for you, but you cannot annoy them at the party, and you have to give them proper respect according to the etiquette you’ve learned, okay, honey.” Said mom, as she bent down to my level and fixed my hair.

I felt sad! Why wasn’t I allowed to talk to them? Yeah, they were the kings, but they said I could come to them whenever I needed something. But mommy and daddy wouldn’t tell me not to do anything if it wasn’t necessary. I sighed and nodded. Both mommy and daddy kissed my cheek, promising to let me play with Rex the whole day tomorrow if he’s free, which had me all- happy again. Afterwards, we were all off to the ballroom. As we passed the halls of the guest floor, my eyes twinkled; everything was so beautiful; the ceilings were huge with crystal chandeliers every few feet, and the dark wooden floors were lined with red royal carpets and pictures of wolves, kings, and queens lined the wall. It was so pretty! Even cinderella’s castle wasn’t so grand. I really needed to tell her when I go to Disney Land in the human multiverse. After walking for so long, we were finally at the ballroom, where the party was happening. There were so many alphas, Luna’s, and big kids looking around. There were no kids my age at all; it was just going to be Rex, me and JJ, from the looks of it. I felt a little awkward when I walked through the crowds of people, and they would look at me when mommy, daddy and the triplets left to greet the king and queen before telling me to find Jacob and be a good girl. Where were JJ and Rex? Suddenly, I felt someone tap my shoulder; turning around, I see JJ and Rex smiling at me.

“Where were you guys! I’ve been looking everywhere for you both.” I asked.

“We were looking for you; there were so many people. Your so tiny that we couldn’t find you around all these big people.” Said Rex teasingly.

I huffed and crossed my hand over my chest!

I was not tiny!

I was only nine years old and hadn’t hit puberty yet, so my growth hormones could start working faster. Did they not know anything about wolf biology, and they act as if I’m a baby that

“Well, don’t call me tiny or a baby! You too, JJ, or I’ll tell the princes not to show you their car collection when they give us a tour of the palace later tonight.” I said.

JJ paled, then quickly nodded his head.

“Are you really going to ask them to let me see their bike and car collection?” He asked.

I smiled and nodded.

“You’re the best friend anyone could have, kiki,” JJ said, hugging me. I laughed, and so did Rex, who then joined our hug.

“Do you guys wanna go get something to eat, I saw a dessert table, and they had cake,” I said excitedly.

They both grinned; each held either of my hands and went towards the dessert table. We stuffed ourselves with so much stuff, and it was all so good; they had red velvet cake, chocolate cupcakes, cookies, strawberry jelly, chocolate fudge brownies, and they even had a giant chocolate fountain as big as me that had strawberries, marshmallows and twinkies for dipping. I had never seen so much dessert; it was the best day ever. They only needed a candy table, and it would have been awesome. After eating more than half of the dessert table, we sat at one of the round tables at the back so people would not be disturbed by

“Ugh, mom and dad are going to kill me for eating so much dessert before I had dinner.” Said Rex, rubbing his tummy.

“Just don’t tell them.” Said JJ.

But that wasn’t very nice.

“They’ll know, you see that girl over there, that’s Emily, mybabysitter, and she tells everything to mom and dad,” Rex said,

J scrunched our noses; auntie Beth never did anything at; she was more of our friend than anything else.

Rex’s mouth dropped open just like Ryder from tangled. He huffed and grumbled.

“Emily always raids my stash and gives it back to my mom and dad. That’s not fair; I’m going to ask mom and dad to let me have your babysitter.” Said Rex.

“NO.” I and JJ both yelled, causing people around us to look at us; I even saw prince Jayden and prince Kayden look at us with bunched-up angry eyebrows.

Uh-oh! We all meeked out a sorry! Before we could all make a run for it, we saw Rex’s babysitter coming to us; even though she was smiling, she seemed angry.
