Kiara was even more perfect for our little mate than Kiki. But Kiki was adorable, too; it suited her right now with her

age. Kiki or Kiara, it honestly didn’t matter as long as you would smile all the time like she was smiling right now. The mere sight of seeing a smile on our mate’s face brought nothing but happiness to me.

Not many could glare at Jayden or me and live to tell the tale, not that we would ever hurt a pup, but even pups didn’t cross our path until needed; they admired us from afar.

“Alright, little one, I won’t call Jayden that anymore. Are you happy now?” Said, prince Kayden

I can’t believe I had two kings as my friends and a prince as well. I felt so special; no one other than Jacob wanted to be my friend at school because Janet and her friends were always telling kids from our grade that I was weird. So now, having three new friends felt great, but, of course, no one could replace Jacob; we were best friends for life.

But, for me to stay friends with them, prince Kayden had to promise me that he wouldn’t hurt prince Jayden’s feelings by calling him a baby again. It wasn’t nice, I didn’t like it when Rex and Jacob called me a baby, so I’m sure prince Jayden didn’t like being called a baby either. Plus, he was not a baby; they were both so big and tall, me, Jacob and Rex looked like ants in front of them when they weren’t crouching down to our level. I looked at prince Kayden expectantly, waiting for him to promise me, but he just looked back at me with his eyebrow raised. I crossed my arms over my chest and looked the other way.

“Now tell us, kiki, why were you alone in the middle of the forest.” Asked prince Jayden.

I heard Rex and Jacob suck in a breath from behind me. Why were they acting so scared of the princes? They were so nice, but I guess they were the princes, so that means they could be really mean if they wanted to, I should be careful too. Even though I came here because Rex and JJ dared me to, and I agreed because they would stop calling me a baby. I didn’t want to tell the princes that; what if they grounded Rex and not let JJ see the king’s car collection, he would be so sad then, and I hated seeing my best friend sad.

“Um, we were playing hide and seek, and I got lost,” I said, biting my lip and looking anywhere but the twins. I was terrible at lying, and I hated lying. I only did it when I really needed to, but it was an emergency right now. What if Rex and JJ got in trouble.
