Chapter 63

Still Marco Lorenzo's POV

The guys are moving fast, so fast that we struggled to keep up with their speed. They haven't spotted us yet, they gave no idea that they are being followed, yet they are running as if they are trying to run away from something or someone. Something doesn't seem right, there is something else going on here and I have no idea what it is. First, they had drugged and kidnapped a girl that I have no idea who she is, now they are driving at a very high speed, making it seem like they have a deadline to keep. This road looks familiar, it's been so long that I've been out on the street but this road definitely looks familiar I've been here before, I'm so sure of it, I just can't recall what I had come here to do.

Its getting late already, they have been driving for hours now and I wondered where they are headed. They keep going around in circles to check if they have someone on their tail, but we are too clever to be caught. I made sure we switched cars every thirty minutes, I have a line of cars, coming from behind like a convoy. I only permitted one vehicle to go ahead of us and trail them, but the other cars stayed back. After thirty minutes, I call back the car in front and I send another one forward, switching them consistently. They took a lonely path that was deserted and abandoned, we had turned off the headlights when we took the same turn that they had taken because it is already dark, they could spot our car from afar. We drove in the darkness, trying to keep up with their speed with our lights turned off. The road is so bad, yet they are still driving at such a high speed that warrants a speeding ticket. Why are they in a hurry, and where the hell are they taking her to, could she be one of the werewolves that they are using for their illegal business?

I don't know what we will find out when we get there, but one thing is certain, Lucas Durego is not going to escape death tonight, I'm ending his miserable life tonight, nothing is going to stop me from killing that bastard tonight. After speeding down that rough road for more than one hour, they finally stopped in front of a huge warehouse and we stopped a few feet behind them, sneaking quietly behind them. I could see the dim light surrounding the warehouse and I realized exactly where we are. I can't believe that I had forgotten about this warehouse, how could I be so stupid, this bastard has been hiding in plain sight all this while. It is actually my building, my warehouse. We use this warehouse to hold meetings when my drug lords are in dispute about their territories or when our containers just arrived. This warehouse is still in my name, i is still listed as one of my properties, that is why he chose it as his hiding place, he knows I would never come here to searc} for him, I would never have thought that he would be hiding right under my nose. Smart move, he is so damn smart, that is why he has always evaded my boys, but not anymore, it all ends tonight.

I know this warehouse like the back of my palm. Some are our deals are so illegal that the cops raid our warehouses sometimes. I always chose this warehouse as our meeting point because it has a lot of exits that my boys can use to escape in case we have we encounter any problems from the cops. I have a special entrance that nobody else knows about, it is at the far side of the warehouse and it is made to look like a wall. You need to push the right stone to slide through the wall and walk through. A couple of times, some of the drug lords had wondered how I always appear inside the building because they never see me using my secret passage, I made sure nobody else knows about it, they never saw me using it so they don't know about it. They just keep guessing and speculating, but they never found out about it.

There is a huge store at the back, that is where we store our weapons and drugs. I instructed my boys to lock up the weapon room and secure the warehouse. I went in with fifteen guys while the rest of the guys stayed back to take out his security guards and secure the building. I made sure that Lucas and his boys do not have access to the weapons at the back of the warehouse, they won't even see me coming. We went around the warehouse, taking out every single one of his men that we encountered, shooting them before they get a chance to attack. The sounds of the bullets going off are muffled by the silencer on the guns. As soon as I found my secret entrance, I led my boys inside, shutting it firmly with my secret code. A pungent smell hit my nostrils the moment I stepped into the warehouse, it stinks so badly, and as we kept going inside, the smell got stronger. We were getting closer, I'm pretty sure of that, I could hear two voices up ahead. The first I can recognize very clearly, it is Lucas Durego.

He is here and he is so close by that I can aim and get a clear shot of him standing in my current position. But I need to knoy who that last is and what he wants from her, only then will I be able to know if she is also a threat that needs to be taken out. I used my binoculars to view around the warehouse. I can't believe that he is even producing his bad drugs right here in my warehouse. I could hear the sound of some of the machines churning in a room not too far from where Lucas and his boys are. I could see six guys in the room with the slaves that are working, forcing them to work harder. Lucas had only four “guys with him, two at the exits and two standing right next to him. We can easily take them out, they are terribly outnumbered by us. We came here with more than twelve cars, I have five guys in each car and that makes us way more thar fifty well-trained fighters. We hid behind some cartons that are packed full with these substances that are killing kids in the street. The smells oozing from the cartons are so awful, but that is not all, there is something here that is stinking terrible, but I can't figure it out yet. I instructed my boys to load their guns and aim for their target, but they can't shoot until I instruct them to, I'm still trying to figure out what Lucas wants with that girl that he took from the motel. I can see her locket up in a cage and I'm starting to believe that she is indeed one of the supernatural creatures that they are forcing to work for them.

“She stinks so badly, doesn't she?” Lucas’s voice came out in a sarcastic tone and I knew he was talking to the girl, but I have no idea what he was talking about.

“What are you talking about, who stinks so bad?” the lady asks as well, obviously, she is as confused as I am.

“Would you like to know who it is, do you want me to tell you or show you instead." He asked her once more, sounding like a sick bastard, and then he turned on the light, forcing us to lay low so we don't get caught. From my position, I can still see clearly, I can see her in the cage looking at something behind her, then she sobbed and screamed at him, crying pitifully as she cursed and swore at him.

How can you be this wicked?

She is innocent, she knows nothing about any of this, how can you just torture and kill her in such a way, you f*****g monster. I trusted you, I should have known that you would never let her go, I should never have come here...

Monster!” she cried out in grief, moving back to hug the thing behind her. I still don't understand what is going on, but it's obvious that these two know each other and they have some business deal going on. The lady looks vaguely familiar, but I can't see her clearly and I can't recognize her because she is so disheveled and pale, too pale. If you ask me, I think she is using, she looks like a junkie and I can't shrug off the feeling that she may have tasted these tainted drugs. She is so stupid to be doing any kind of business with this bastard, he would kill her without breaking a sweat or thinking twice about it. I was about to order my guys to shoot their targets, then I heard the next words that came out of Lucas and I stilled in shock as I realized why the caged lady is crying so much,

“Stop your ranting and start telling me everything you know about King Dominic and Marco Lorenzo. I would advise you to think twice before you answer, your stupid mother knows nothing and you can see what she got for knowing nothing. You have ten seconds to start talking.” He ordered her sternly, making her shiver in fear. I should have known that all this is me. But why is he asking her about me, I have nothing to do with her, I don't even know her.

Wait,

I'm asking the wrong questions, the question should be, why would he be asking about King Dominic, and who the hell is thi king Dominic?

I've heard so much about him, but I haven't had the chance to meet him because I prefer working solo. From the way he is speaking, I think he believes that I'm already in alliance with this Dominic guy and it seems like he is disturbed by it. This means that they are scared of Dominic and I coming together as one army to fight them off...

Hmmmm...

I need to dig deeper and find out more about this guy, I have to know all that he knows, he could be the key to solving this problem that I'm facing in this city. I heard her crying and begging him to take his money and let her go, she is pleading for herself and her sisters, and for a minute there, I nearly felt pity for her, but she doesn't deserve my pity, only an i***t does business with Lucas Durego, I have no time to pity brainless idiots, I only came here for Lucas, I came here to end his life. He is threatening her life and that of her sisters, but she stands by her words, claiming that she knows nothing about me or kin Dominic. He was going to t™****e her for information on a d I know that he is going to kill her afterward. He is such a heartless monster, he even killed her mom and locked her in the same place as her mother's corpse. How heartless can he be?

Although I don't know what this girl has done to get to this point, I still can't let him torture and kill her, not after killing her mother. I gave the order, telling them to spread out and take out all his boys that are around. I also aimed and fired three shots in his direction, hitting his knee and shoulders, making it impossible for him to reach for his gun and attack back. I could hear the whiffing sound of bullets flying around as my boys shot relentlessly at his boys, killing them off in no time. “Hi Luc, did you miss me?” I asked sarcastically as I sauntered toward his location. He was struggling to crawl towards a gun in front of him, but I overtake him and kicked the gun away, then I kicked him so hard with my boots, taking out some teeth from his mouth.

“Kill me, Lorenzo...

KILL MEM!

You can F****#g kill me, but you can't stop what's coming for you. The Lycan King is coming, he'll f+ kill you, you'll never take control of this city ever again.” He coughed out in pain as he coughed up blood and struggled to breathe.

“That is no concern of yours, Luc, you'll be long dead by then, you won't be alive to witness the fight between that beast and I. But trust me, Dorego, I would find your Lycan king and I'll send him to you in hell

I smirked evilly as I saw the fear in his eyes, he knows she would not hesitate to pull the trigger because she is more than prepared to avenge the death of her mother. “What do you think young lady, would you be so kind to help me pull the trigger and end his miserable and pathetic life? Don't forget, he would come after you if he survives this, and he may plant a bomb in your house and watch you die.” I adde furiously, the smirk fading away to be replaced by an angry frown. It was at that very moment that I turned to gaze at the face of the lady in the cage, and I stilled in shock as my eyes met hers, When did she start using hard drugs and how the hel did she get herself into this s**t?

Is she working for Lucas Durego all this while, was she sent into my life like the other girl?

I'm so going to murder this girl!
