Milly stayed calm and said, “Indeed, I do. It’s about using certain experimental methods as proof and forming conclusions from those experiments, which we call the thesis. But the thesis isn’t the last word; to fully answer the question, we need to apply a range of theoretical knowledge too, don’t we, Xavier?”

The same disdainful tone aimed at Anthony crept into the conversation again, causing anger to rush over Xavier. 

His face turned red, but given that he was older and perhaps wiser than Anthony, he somehow managed to keep his cool. Despite the storm brewing inside him, he appeared calm on the outside. 

A quiet snicker broke through the tension. 

Milly couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh.
