Chapter 46 

Lucas went to take a shower while Annabelle carried the piping hot minestrone soup to the dining room. As expected, the taste was as good as before! 

Lucas took a shower and put on comfortable home clothes. Then, he carried the clothes he had changed out of to the laundry room. 

After everything was done, he found his wife in the dining room. Annabelle was holding a spoon in one hand and crispy biscuits in the other. She ate contentedly, and her little mouth was red from the spiciness. 

Lucas sat down beside her, his gaze never leaving her. 

Annabelle felt a little uncomfortable under his gaze. She endured it for a moment but soon asked him to stop staring at her. At first, she was a little puzzled, but when she saw the minestrone soup, she immediately understood. 

“Do you want to try it?” Annabelle looked at him and asked seriously. Before he could answer, she pushed the bowl of minestrone soup toward him. 

“I want to try it!” Lucas nodded and said softly. 

When Annabelle heard him say this, she was not stingy either. She handed him her spoon. Seeing that he did not move for a long time, she thought that he minded the fact she had used that spoon.
